If it wasn't for Stoke beating Hull at the weekend the 'Messiah' would still be firmly in the shite I kind of want them to go down, I don't know if I can cope with the media dribbling over how amazing Shearer and Newcastle have been surviving!

I think Shearer and the Toon are still firmly in the shite. They have one hand on the rope to drag themselves out, but 17th on goal difference with 2 games to go is hardly safe.

Couldnt agree more mate all them geordies saying we never stopped keeping the faith in shearer we knew he could do it.Bollocks he has had abit of luck and theres still alot to play for in his last two games.Middlesborough on the other hand i think are down and out as now they dont have a great strike force with alves out.

I'd really like to see Boro get out of it and send the other two down, but I think that the bottom three now is wha it'll be in two weeks' time.

if they escape, they've done so by default, rather than by the tactical genius of any messiah

I've got relatives in Newcastle so want them to do well. Doesn't hide the fact I despise Alan Shearer though, I think they have every chance of staying up but if Dull get a result come the weekend then i think it's over for the Toon, they won't beat Fulham or Villa.
Maybe the Albion can sneak up behind them and get themselves out of the shite situation they found themselves in all year !

Its a lose lose situation We either get the media drooling over Shearer or a drooling Tango in the media, Id actually like to see Middlesbrough claw themselves out of the bottom 3, but reckon both them and the baggies are down,

they dont have a great strike force with alves out. they don't have a great strike force with alves in. Boro have been shite this year and deserve to go down as do the Toon. Hull probably deserve to stay up after their first half season but I can't stand Hull - from the gayer than gay 'mauled by the tigers' to the oranger than orange Philthy Phil Brown. Can they not relegate 4 teams this year and let's have Preston and Burnley come up? Can't stand Sheffield United either...

Now here's a thing. Dull need to beat Manure to stay up with the latter already having won the title, Sir Ralgex remembers Shearer snubbing him twice when he wanted to sign him as player ... and with the Champion's League final coming up, you can be sure a few players could be rested.
However, having said that I still remain in the camp hoping that Mr Ed can pull off a miracle and keep Boro up!

So do Messrs Quinn and Sbragia. Sunderland have Pompey away and Chelsea at home.
NQ went into the dressing room, at the week-end to make an appeal, telliing the players that, if they retained a place in the PL, their US fella, Ellis Short, would make them "relegation-proof".
Translation: If you lot do it today, we'll be able to afford some decent players, to replace you! ;D
It seemed only to register with Fulop, who saved them in the finall minute.
