Id take that and a cracking good deal if we can get rid of Kitsons wages...
And Oil has been good at times this year just very inconsistant..

So that would mean effectvely £8.5 million worth of players for Ledley. It's a little steep IMO. If we're doing a part exchange I'd rather keep Oli and ship out someone like Tonge.

yes but after this season olly and kitson are worth nowhere near as much. i'd let kitson go for 3 million and olly 1.5

Err no it wouldn't. Try and sell those pair individually after the seasons they've had and see how far off your 8.5 mill you are

Sounds like a decent deal for all concerned....although Kitson has looked shite for Reading he should be decent at Champs level and Oli we know from his Wolves days can be effective in a champs midfield so those two minus Ledley would still improve Baaardiff. As Beardy says selling them separately wouldn't raise enough to buy an over inflated price for Ledley....this deal might just offer more than Everton and Wetsham

Plus when we're paying the wages (Kitson's isn't exactly minimum wage either!) for two bench warmers, are we really in a position to be haggling, bearing in mind the other Prem clubs that are after Ledley?

What I'm trying to say is that we've paid £8.5 million for the pair of them (less a little for Kitson clauses that weren't activated) so that's what the club would effectively be spending on Ledley, which is too much for me.

Rubbish! If you bought a car last year for £10,000 say, took off the alloys, spoilers and air-con, added a few miles to it and then tried to sell it now - Would you expect to get your £10,000 back .... i think not That swap would be like paying about 5.5 for him i'd say.

olly would not want to go to bardiff
he left wolves to join us and hardly played. wolves get promoted and he ends up back in the championship? i don't think so
best bet for olly is if wolves are interested in him

Yeah Beb is right.
I have sneaky feeling that Mick Mccarthy was pissing himself laughing when we handed over 3 mil for Seyi.
I don't believe any Prem outfit would be interested in him for next season.
Cardiff is probably about his level.

Cardiff won't pay the ginger ones wages That's the problem. Who can? He's sitting on another 24 months on £100,000+-a-month. He may hate it here, but he's not a mug. He knows that's 50%-75% more than anyone would offer him now. Are clubs big enough and subsequently choosy enough to get anywhere near that salary package going to look twice at Kitson? Stoke or Kitson are going to have to take a stunning financial hit or he's going to be rotting (I was going to say on the bench, but let's face it, he wouldn't get anywhere near our bench)
