I think they should reinstate this pre-season fixture, It would be like the good old days when top flight Stoke would play bottom league Vale. It would give little owd Vale the chance to see a Premiership team in all it glory. I used to really enjoy giving the Vale a going over each year............Bring it back i say. ;D

Cant see the police agreeing to it can you? Who knows. Not so long ago, Derby were making all that fuss about hosting Stoke; now they are welcoming us in a friendly.

we could actually have a annual compo
call it the stanly matthews cup and do a auction for a couple of fans on either team to be involved in the squad
also 50% of the monies go to the charity of the winning manager

Will there be enough room for all the Vale ST holders, if they all follow their club to the Brit. And what about parking for the buses?

it would be interesting to see how many closet vale supporters would come out of the woodwork to support them for a last 90 minutes, we should send some of th academy lads there on loan, cant see why not to be honest.

Yeah I'd be well up for that. It'd be a pisser watching Fail Park sell out to max cap with all the true "diehards" who hate Stoke more than they support Vale.
Should be an annual event.

I think it would be anice touch, if we dont pick Rory, we could move the adverts in towards the edge of the pitch and the Valetites could park next to their seats.., seriously, Vale are part of SOTs sporting heritage and while we are doing well and they are struggling, we should help them out, Stoke (as Spunks says) are a herald that the fans of a proper club can overturn (to a degree) the Premiershit hegemony and claim their club and the game back for the real fans, we cant rely on Sky to allow the piss dribblings of the money machine to drip down to the lower leagues, lets help them out more directly, I have no love for Vale but I do for football and I do for Stoke-on-Trent, its people and what they stand for. Come on Stoke!!!

If we're going to play a fourth division side, it ought to be a 'big' fourth division side, someone like Burton Albion for example.

Vale Park is the Wembley of the North, didnt you know? I think as a mark of support for the Vale, we should make a donation, yes, send them Vince Pericard for free!! He used to play for Juventus, didnt you know? Vale Park has to be the stage that would help him to raise his game...

We could play two friendlies in one day- send the youth team/reserves to play Fail while our first team play someone like PSV or Valencia.
Sorted.

used to enjoy them remember going vale park in my stoke colours in the 80's and standing with vale fans not a hint of trouble anywhere, but then they started to believe the rantings of a madman[billy bell] and all of a sudden they thought they were superior to us. and the memory of walking to the victoria ground and witnessing vale lads jumping out of a mini bus opposite the vic and laying into everyone just walking to the game including women kids and pensioners then scarpering as soon as the lads come out. cowards fuck them hope they go into non league!

would be great and in terms of revenue, it would be a sell out guranteed, whether it was at the brit or fail park.
