ANY ONE AGREE WITH ME THAT HART AND SORENSEN WOULD BE A GREAT DUO FOR GOALKEEPERS, HART CAN LEARN FROM TOMMY AND BECOME NUMBER 1 FOR YEARS TO COME

Good keeper is Hart - but, as wembley says above, why would he want to swap Man City's bench for ours? Even if it was only for a year, I'm sure he'll go somewhere he will be guaranteed first team football next season.

No point ina keeper with that much potential sitting on our bench for the price tag aswell. He needs first team football but great player imo.

I honestly don't think goalkeeper is a priority.

Personally I feel GK is one of our top 3 prioritys.
Hart is a better GK than Sorenson, and he has a lot more potential, so he wouldnt be swapping Man City's bench for ours.
Go get him Tone.

Joe Hart was mentioned in the press a couple of days ago with a potential loan move to Brum, I could see that happening as that Taylor's about 39 plus he'd be number one at Brum.
I'm more than happy with Tommy and Simmo as long as Simmo is happy at being number two at a PL club which he probably isn't to be honest.

The centre of midfield has to be our top priority, followed by another couple of strikers and a left back.
Sorensen has made the odd mistake, but so do all keepers, and he's saved us far more often than he's cost us. He's been one of our top five performers this season IMO. Assuming Simmo stays, he's a more than able back up. We're fine in goal.

prority is better players who will fit in.
any postition will be fine.
we only have 2 strikers + a damaged Sidebe mind.
I dont rate Sorro as highly as most Stokies but wont complain if he gets another year as number 1.

Hart is NOT as good as Tommy, why do you think Man City signed Given, Tommy is as good as anything outside the top four in regards to keepers. We do need a young back up keeper or a experienced one who does not mind being back up.

Hart started the season absolutely on fire, but toward the end of 08 he turned into a bit of a flapper, possibly the imminent arrival of Given wass a mitigating circumstance, but even so the lad is not beyond making mistakes. If you offered me sorenson and hart i'd pretty much flip a coin over which is the better keeper - not a reason to spend the £6-8m he'd probably cost when we need that money for much more important positions - Zigic isn't going to be cheap.

What would people think of Kasper Schmeichel instead, he too has lots of potential and wouldn't mind sitting on the bench unlike Hart who would want first team football

Joe will want first team football in the runup to 2010, as I'm sure he'll have aspirations of making the squad. In which case he's going to want a move from Man City.
we represent a premiership team, close to his hometown, and could match his current wages within our current wage structure. I don't see why it's so inconceivable that we could sign him. There are only 20 available positions as first choice keepers in the premier league.
It's just a case of whether or not he represents a better option than Sorro. I think he probably does, if merely in terms of age.
The real stumbling block IMO would be the transfer fee, surely would be around £5m at least? Given our transfer budget I'd say we have much bigger priorities.

Sit on our bench? He's better than sorrenson, he is a very good keeper, and very young. Man Citeh wouldn't let him leave though. It would be a great signing though imo, with Sorrenson becoming 2nd choice/coach for Hart.
