Alan Moss from Stafford previously Stone may be known to a few on here.
He emigrated to New Zealand several years ago.
He was a character at stoke for 30 years including running coaches from the Gardners to away games.
Yesterday we were informed of the death of his beautiful daughter Libby in a tragic car crash.She was only 19.
Libby accompanied Mossy to stoke matches regularly.
RIP Libby

i knew her and her family well when we were growing up, she was only 9 months younger than me her father and my father were very good friends (still are really but they havent seen each other since Mossy and his family emigrated to New Zealand) and went to stoke matches together. what makes it even more sad is that Alan's 50th is coming up and they were planning to go to Sydney. i cant imagine what Alan, Julie, George and Harry are going through, i found out yesterday morning but i'm still struggling to come to terms with it.
Rest In Peace Libby xx

Mossy is like a second dad to me. I've grown up with him being around, going on the Moss Tours coaches, chatting the landlord into lock-ins at the Greyhound in Yarlet after Stoke matches. Julie and Alan are the most genuine people you will EVER meet in your life, and I can imagine his kids are as well since they've grown up in NZ.
I feel physically sick;
RIP Libby xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I've missed you all since moving to NZ....

Very sad news indeed!!
I played cricket with Mossy at Stafford CC back in 96, Libby was only just younger than my own daughter. I was at Stafford CC yesterday morning watching the lad play and got talking about Mossy and this tragic incident. I must admit I didn't even know they had emigrated.
My heart goes out to the Big Fella and his family at this very sad time.
R.I.P.
