Chelsea are doing a brilliant impression of a Stoke away performance so far - organised defending, big tackles and even bigger boots up the field!

They are even more like Blackburn. All I have seen so far is Cech booting the ball straight to the opposition keeper.

Chelsea are doing a brilliant impression of a Stoke away performance so far - organised defending, big tackles and even bigger boots up the field! RoryM In relative terms they are doing EXACTLY what we do. Tailor our tactics away from Home, against superior opposition. So, why do we get panned for it, whilst for them to do it is acceptable? I mean, how can so many millions of pounds worth of talent be reduced to playing such anti-football? In the first 30mins, they have lumped it (ineffectively), had little possession, what they have had they have wasted, and generally been given the run-around by a far better technical team. There's no place in the Premiership for teams like that TalkSport will still be wanking over them in the morning though if they scrape a draw.

I was just about to post the refs a homer until he booked the barca player. Some of Barca's movement is exceptional

that was Chelsea's chance edit - how scary was that I posted that 30 seconds before the commentator said it

Before I logged on tonight I was thinking exactly the same. If Chelsea get a draw the pundits will be creaming their pants.

Have these Barcelona players forgotten how to stand up?

Actually, Barca might be OK with 0-0 in this. If they go into the second leg without an away goal against them they'll fancy their chances of getting one.

Have these Barcelona players forgotten how to stand up? looks like it. Their players also have one of the lowest pain thresholds in world football They wouldn't like it at the Brit

Joe, I agree. A 0-0 when you are at home first is a decent result. When teams are so closely matched at this stage of a tournament, away goals are more than important.
