Until Gudjon went to Crewe I was happy to see them go down, but now after a decent fightback I was happy for Gudjon for them to stay up,
Who feels sorry for Gudjon?

he's a professional who signed on for the job, and that's it. Do you feel sorry for a plumber if he installs a toilet that leaks?

I feel sorry for Gudjon to the extent that he got fired having got us promoted to the Championship that always felt like a travesty to me. But he is not entitled to that goodwill for the rest of his life.
He took a job that required a rescue specialist. My memory of Gudjon is that he built very slowly and over (too many) years moved us gradually towards promotion. If that is typical, then Crewe probably employed the wrong manager and he probably took the wrong job.
I hope he gets through it, but I won't lose too much sleep over it.

i admire gudgeon it was allways going to be a difficult task, now they have to beat leicester by 3 or 4 and hope the teams above them all lose? cant see it myself but stranger things have happened in football. p.s. i wont shed a tear for all those holier than thou trainspotters!!

I feel sorry for Gudjon, as he got us promoted.
Crewe can fuck off back where they belong, however.

Its good news for Crewe!!!!
What games they can look forward to next year - Port Fail, Shrewsbury, Burton Albion, Macclesfield - All quite local for them, oh and Accrington Stanley......
Normal service resumed!
I love being at work at the mo, Its nice to be in a lofty position as a Stokie after years of getting shite off poxy clubs like Crewe!

I think of Crewe and I think of the moment I discovered the side Gudjon had named for the play-off second leg at Smallsall.
Then someone asks me if I feel any sorrow!

I do never forget him arrangin that public meeting down the Brit after he got the push! He really looked a broken man that night! He didnt exacly pick up Crewe in a good position clearing up after Holland who was terrible in his reign as 1st team manager at Crewe!

No! I find it thoroughly amusing aswell!
The only person I feel a bit sorry for is Progger the Crewe fan who used to get on the Rivals board. He came into Delilahs once, decent bloke. But for the rest I couldn't give a monkeys jizz!

they just about deserve each other.....i never liked the bloke, the arrogance of the whole icelandic policy of assuming players from there national side would walk us to promotion, soon proved to be a sham, with the exception of bryjar, the rest would struggle to hold down a place in most 1st division side....even bjarni stepped it up a level after the old man got the sack....i'l be delighted when crwho get relegated, like iv said before, in football, u always return to where u belong...the irony of vale and crwho in the bottom division of english football isnt lost on me
