Had to say yesterday how far we have come from the old days of the Victoria ground (God bless her).
Now I have never been a fan of the Britt or indeed all seater stadiums in general but have to say the view of the sold out crowd from the west stand upper was immense. The noise was deafening and it proper had a Premiership feel to it.
The hairs on the back of neck stood up.
Well done to everyone for the atmosphere and a great afternoon.

Thought we were unusually quiet yesterday barring the first 20 minutes and after the goal, understandable though, think everyone realised how big the game was

the west stand upper is shite. was forced to sit in there yesterday because i left it later than normal to get my ticket. the view is great but thats it.
The original poster is right about it being the best place to 'observe' the atmosphere. when we sang 'oh when the reds' at the beginning which completely drowned out whatever their version was to the point where they just stopped singing. it really was amazing. which to be honest made it worse, because i wasn't part of it. If you do sing and shout people look at you like you've got two heads. Wouldn't go in there again if the ticket was free.

why dont you start singing in the west stand and it will be even louder!!!!!! My god ! I was in there for the Newcastle game (only ticket I could get), first time I've been in there, It was dead ! I was in block 17 and people were looking at me and my brother like we were mental just because we were trying to create a bit of atmosphere Never again ! Unless I can't get a ticket anywhere else ;D

I was singing my head off up there with 2 other lads infront of me and if I got a few strange looks it wouldn't be the first time.
Sadly having no job at the moment means I can't always get to every game due to money but went near enough every home and away game last season.

I have been in the West Stand Upper all season, the problem with the stand in that all the corprate and extra AWAY supporters are in there, i know for a fact the row infront of us are BET365 seats, my mate the Villa fan had a ticket for there when we beat them. Most of the regulars sing but the one timers don't know the songs or are not Stoke fans. Neadless to say we have moved to the SEAT stand next season.

Yesterday was the worst it's been all season, you want to get down there more ;-) NOOO! Atmos wasnt great yesterday, but by no means the worst this season!! Fulham, West Brom and Hull were far worse. We had droughts of silence yesterday, but still in pretty fine voice.

It was a bit quiet yesterday, although the abuse to 'Big Sam' was constant and rather humerous. Well done Block 13ers.

yesterday was patchy at best, Blocks 24,25,26 were doing there best, sure block 19 were trying too, but they should pay more attention as the first delilah happened a good 5 mins after TJ first stood up to start it, but as they were off in a world of their own, and wouldn't shushhhh for the start. he just sat back down again, it happened about 3 times in row before he eventually got the requisit hush

Very nervy yesterday - I think thats why it was patchy
Thought the second half was much better and the atmos cranked up (so did the football)
All in all a brilliant day though, buzzing coming out and after 38 years of supporting Stoke I am happier than I have ever been !

They started several songs when he was trying to get one going!

Each week they seem to be wheeling out bigger and bigger loudspeakers, because the PA has been getting drowned out. Who is that prat urging us to make a load of noise anyway. I think we know what to do - nothing better than a few dodgy decisions and some good crisp tackles to get us wound up
