Some tough finishes there for the others.Keep the foot on the accelerator and God only knows where we might finish.Winning at home to Wigwam and West Sham would be a good start!!! and Fulham away? a draw?

Looking at those fixtures it appears Wigan may have two strong of a finish for us to mount a challenge, we'd need 13 points out of 15, which believe it or not is not impossible.

Frighteningly enough it doesn't look impossible!!!!!
I actually wouldn't want it to happen cos it could breed complacency for next year when it will be almost as difficult to avoid relegation as it was this year.
We play Wigan West Ham and Fulham and if we won all them (highly unlikely but not impossible) we would arguably be in the box seat for Europe!!
One thing it does show is how tight this league is this year

I actually think the Fulham game is critical. I think we are going to stay up whatever the result at Fulham but how high we finish might depend upon the Fulham result. A draw would enure safety and probably mean we went on to survive quite comfortably. A win at Fulham would mean that, with three tricky but winnable games to follow (West Ham, Hull and Wigan) the players and the fans might start to dream of a top 10 finish. I can't see us getting to Europe (7th) but you never know - football is a funny old game.

ermmm.... good one but... werent we taking the pish out of Dull for such flights of fancies hehe True! And to be honest this isn't likely to be repeated by our chairman though! (at least not publicly!!) But Hull were talking about this halfway through the season we are nearly at the end of the season now! It isn't actually impossible for us is all I think that was being said I don't seriously think any of us are being too realistic.

For those making serious posts about a challenge, stop it, you're in danger of doing a tangoman !

...the players and the fans might start to dream of a top 10 finish. And with 750k per place up for grabs, that's another few million in the warchest for next season!

Yes it is pipe dream and i'd still settle for 17th mate but it is possible and just think when your trying to lure players to the club european football would be a great attraction. One thing it does show is how tight this league is this year

Surely not? Surely, surely, surely not?
We're on 39 points, let's not get carried away, let's finish the job at hand. Three weeks ago everyone was convinced we were in big trouble. A top ten finish would be beautiful, then it would be Pulis' job to make sure we bring in the right players next season to consolidate and build on that kind of position. Don't forget, though, that we are by no means out of this yet. Man City have to play today and we can drop back down to twelfth, Wigan and West Ham will both be tricky games and we could get sucked right back down. Even if we don't go right back into the relegation mix, we could still finish way down the table, so let's not get carried away.
Football is indeed a funny old game, but Stoke City is a funny old club - a major cock up is still on the cards.
