Sod Chelsea, Manure, Arsenal, and Liverpool off into a Euro league with the two Glasgow clubs.
That would solve all footballs problems.

i doubt it will happen though because it says
"Fourteen Premier League clubs will have to vote in favour of the proposal to get the project up and running. The FA, who backed the formation of the original Premier League, would then have to support it." and then also "But the big four would need three other rivals to back them to ensure the plan is vetoed"
i reckon it will be vetoed people only 7 clubs to vote against it is all we need, the littlier clubs like the idea of playing the top four so i dont think it will happen!! and also hope it wont!

Shocking idea. They talk about a lack of money for football league clubs and then have the idea of just one promotion/relegation between the FL and this new Greed League. Seems like an excuse to get the Glasgow Scottish Monopoly on board,. They've already destroyed Scottish football and the big four are doing virtually the equivalent in our leagues. That is; sucking up all of the success, support, money and competition.
If they really bothered about lower league clubs, I've got an idea. How about naming the divisions one, two, three and four and sharing the money out more fairly.

What a ludicrous idea. Also what is wrong about having a"big 4" most leagues only have a "big one" or "big two", and we've got clubs like Villa and Everton looking to break into it. Phil Gartside is probably trying to hedge his bets, with the likely hood of Bolton being relegated in the next couple of seasons, well he can keep his crazy ideas to himself

stopped reading when it got to the two glasgow clubs, stinks of making more money the scudamore way. Exactly, mate. Just another way of ensuring the haves, have more. The F.A would really like the big boys to have it ALL< and as they can't do it opely, they are looking for a way to make it sound innovative, and good for the game. As for the two Scottish clubs, they should be made to start in the lowest English division, and play their way up. Ideally, thay should not be allowed in English football. If they are allowed into our league, it will kill all other Scottish football stone dead..

Ilford, how long have you been Premier League chairman? I'm not, I was just hoping that our chairman would vote as a "fan" and as someone who has seen his club suffer from the enormous money chasm that exists already

Considering what went on in Manchester, they would be mad to let them join, it would be mayhem every game. Keep them where they are. If the smaller clubs voted for it it would be like turkeys voting for Christmas.

Rangers & Celtic can fuck right off- they can keep that Battle of the Boyne sectarian crap up north where it belongs.
In England we've moved on from the 1600s.
Plus, after the Rangers fans fun and games in Manchester, absolutely no chance.

This is absolute nonsense. Imagine if the original 12 clubs had introduced a closed shop. Football would not have become the biggest sport in the world.
Bolton are slowing fading away and know that relegation is likely in the next couple of seasons. This is looking after themselves and pulling the rug from under the feet of other clubs.
Much as I dislike Leeds, does this rule them out of returning to the Prem for ever. It wasn't that long ago that Bolton were in the 3rd division. What if the Prem had been capped then.
Promotion or relegation or the chance of success for ANY club is what made our football great for over a century. It is tough on former Prem clubs (Oxford & Luton) to be non-league, but it gives the opportunity for Wigan and Wimbledon (recent non-league clubs) to have their day in the sun.
Imagine in our dark days of Alan Ball and Brian Little if we thought this was as good as it was going to get, because that is what this plan could mean to many clubs.
We should be looking to make the game more competitive, so that it is dominated by no one, than creating a closed shop. I remember Liverpool, Chelsea and ManUre in the Second Division and Ipswich, Derby and Forest winning the League. Surely this is the football we crave.

"is being backed by at least seven Premier League clubs" Does anybody know, or indeed would like to speculate, as to who the other six clubs are? Wigan? Newcastle? Fulham? Blackburn? Boro? I would have thought it would be clubs who have taken their Prem status for granted, but now see it could be at risk in the next few years. They must hate us, because there was such an assumption that the 3 promoted teams would be relegated.
