Quote from Wikipedia: "Prior to their 2008 promotion, Stoke had not participated in top flight football since the 1984-85 season, in which they were relegated with a total of 17 points, a record low total for twenty-one years." With the Easter run of form, we've now doubled our total points score from the last time we were in the top flight . It kind of wipes the stain away . These things are important to those of us who were there in 1985.....

Very good point. We were relegated hardly without a whimper in '85 and are back with pride and passion this season. We're not safe yet but we haven't ashamed ourself.

It's even more impressive when you consider that we play fewer games in a season these days.

And to all the other fans that said we would get less points than Drby last year, we are only 5 points on having 4 times more than them....
Bring on next season...looks like we might have them premiership badhes on our shirts for a second season
