I was always under the impression that the point of sitting in the West stand is to sit back and enjoy the other three stands singing to us. Let me demonstrate.... I did let myself down and the others around me by singing on that day. Best gig I ever went to!

Well, ok then, every other stand is obviously superior to our stand. Well done all of you.

Well, ok then, every other stand is obviously superior to our stand. Well done all of you. Well said MD. How about we all start chanting "We are not worthy" would that be OK? Jeez, now that we've virtually guaranteed our premiership safety, we start bitching about our own fans.

just said something similar in another thread. The upper tier is dreadful. I know the atmosphere was weak anyway yesterday. touch of the 'everton, we really should win this syndrome' i think. no wonder some of the away fans get the impression the atmosphere is shit. The ones that are near the south stand fans will think its great and the ones near the other side will think its shite.

I was sat in the lower half near the tunnel, it was the only place i could get tickets, today my voice has gone, I never stopped singing lads around me were trying their best too. i thought that the atmosphere was poor until we scored then it was just party time, maybe nerves were getting the better of us.
I giggled at the Blackburn fans singing where's your famous atmosphere, at that point I was getting a little edgy thinking we were in for one of them days, but I was proved wrong. Soooo happy.

I go every week and i sing every week, but i dont stand because there is some prat behind me that shouts sit down every week whenever i stand. Also people look at you as if you have two heads if you stand up. The fact is that those who do sing are scattered throughout the stand and so dont make as much noise as they would make altogether. I am trying to swap my season ticket for elsewhere but seeing as so many are sold, its not looking all that hopeful.

So, we can't moan about TP and we can't moan about Cressers. So, who can we moan about next - I know we'll moan about each other. The moaners are out in force again. I seriously do wonder whether their anti-depressants are working Remember 'United Strength is Stronger' We need to 'out' these moaners so that they can be brought back in to the fold of what we are achieving TOGETHER this season.

Jesus Christ, is this really what its come to? Are we so bored with having a go at the opposition players, fans, managers, MOTD, any press that don't like us, richard cresswell and rob styles that we now have to have a go at our own fans?
Every stand is different, every stand has its own atmosphere, every stand appeals to different people. If you don't like it, sit somewhere else!
When I was a lad, just like most of you I went in the boothen with my mates, got pissed and sang my head off, now (in my late 30's) I go with my dad who isn't much of a singer these days. We started in the boothen when we moved to the brit, and for the last 8 years have been in the JS upper (block 8).
The first season took a bit of getting used to, but I now love it up there. Granted, its a different match-day experience, but offers something different - an un-parralelled view for a start, and believe me, it gets just as passionate as anywhere else.
However, there are quite a few corporates in there, and an 'older' clientele if you will, so generating the boisterous atmosphere you get in the boothen is a non-starter - but other things make up for it.
Can we please stop peddling the old 'i'm a far better supporter than you because i sing more than you and i went to exeter in 1991 and i've got more stoke tattoo's and i bought my season ticket 3 mins after they went on sale' FFS!
If you want to get pissed and sing with your mates, go in the boothen. If you want to get pissed and trade banter and abuse with the opposition, go in the south stand. If you want to get pissed and call fergie a wanker, go in the JS lower. If you want to get pissed, sometimes sit in other peoples piss, and generally small piss, but otherwise have a great view, informed debate, and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere that the rest of you so selflessly(!?!?) provide us with, come and join us in the upper, otherwise stay the fuck out!!!
PS I have to say the Chateau Patreuse was like piss water yesterday however.

Im 24 and quite enjoy not having some big fat numpty spitting pie on the back of my head in JS Lower.
Also i sometimes stand up when we score but i don't like dropping my sandwich so its only once in a while. Anyway not singing at all is better than listening to block 19 they're useless, if we could just chop off that bit it would be great. Do they not realise how bad Delilah sounds when they finish 10 seconds early?
