I thought he did very well today!
Slotted in well after Wilko went off, and wasn't afraid to get forward. If Wilko misses the Fulham match, we have a more than capable replacement.
Well done Mr Kelly.

Yeah, he looked solid when he came on, didn't mind moving forward as well which is always nice to see.

Think he is good getting forward but not seems to get outmuscled in the area, has happened a few times when he has played and thought it was going cost us today...

I really hope we sign Kelly, then we have good competition for the right back slot, and would feel happy with either playing.

Agreed - after a dodgy start against Sunderland he hasn't let us down when called upon. Offers more than Wilko in attack - not really been tested yet in defence - but I did notice today when he came on that he won a couple of headers with ease. I hope TP gives him a bit more time before the end of the season - he deserves the chance to make case for us buying him.

Maybe try him on the left rather than Danny Hooooofingbottom? If it wern't for 'Hoofingbottom' we wouldn't off won Yesterday...but on the Kelly Subject We need give him time but if we don't i'd still sign him saw him a lot last season & he was better than Wilko this season tbh

Can't just be me that thought he was crap in attack? All he did was encourage that messing about down the wing when all we needed was for Lawrence to get the ball in the box - instead, they did some ridiculously unnecessary short passing between each other until Blackburn could scramble it away. With Wilkinson on, either Lawrence would put the ball in the box straight away or Wilkinson would overlap (doing very well to control the ball on one or two occasions) and then put the ball in the box. That's what we need.
As for Higginbotham being rubbish - who put in the cross that won us the match yesterday? I'd say Higginbotham is better than Kelly in attack as well, he can put the ball into the box (see Brazil at home) and he plays that dinked ball over the full back for Etherington to run onto that's created chances. Don't forget his assist in the away game against Brazil, either ;D

he gets forward well, but there was a couple of times when him and lenny just didnt click. Both making the wrong runs, i suppose they havent played together enough.
Like the lad tho!

Gotta say, he looked quite good when he came on.
As for Higginbotham, the cross for the goal was crap, and Beattie did well to make something of it. This may just be because I dont like the bloke. I hope we replace him come the summer - he can fuck right off back to Southamptons reserves. My opinion. If you dont like it, tough shit.

I thought we had some kind of agreement on Kelly. I thought we were loaning him until the end of the season, then had an option to sign him. Have I imagined it?

He was brilliant going forward, had litte to do defensivly but imo a more than capable back-up for Wilko.

I also thought we had already agreed a fee but then again, he hasn't forcd his way into the starting 11 so perhaps tp has alternatives he will look at?
Caught a blues fan on talk sport last night and he was lambasting McCleish for letting kelly come to us on loan (amongst other things)
