good bunch and good noise created, I bumped into one guy on the way walking down to the ground, got on so well he bought me a beer in the harvestor and introduced me to the blackburn southern supporters club ! good bunch, nice supporters, all looked forward to seeing the Brit for the 1st time.
I loved hearing stories of the old vic when they came in 78, stood on the old stoke end at the end of the game they had to make a run for it to the station to catch the football special. "there were people coming out from a graveyard to try and get us" quality

Yeah fair enough but I can't halp but feel distain towards them as they were a load of giddy fuckers who thought that just because they'd taken more than 600 to an away game for the first time this year it was something to shout about. As for trying to take the piss out of the atmosphere at the Brit today, well that was pure comedy given how they sit on their hands at Ewood Park.

They were up for it today, it just shows how poor the away fans have been all season though to class them as the best.

Yes....credit to them. They started singing early and I thought we were much quieter than usual in the first half. Raised our game for the second though.

They were very vocal and out-sang us at times. I quite liked the 'where's your famous atmosphere' chant. We sang that to The Kop at Anfield. I don't think the boring and nervous nature of the match (especially first half) lent itself to a good atmosphere, but the Blackburn fans were amongst the loudest this season.

"Wheres your famous Atmosphere" ..they sung. think they found out after the goal? ;D I thought that was a fair enough chant actually, it was a drab first half and a drab atmosphere. The correct response would have been "It's just cos you're in town, it's just cos you're in town..." ;D

We went to their place on free busses, you can't hold that against them.

Spoke to one of them after the game, and he thought the atmosphere was incredible, seemed quite worried about their prospects

Free busses or not, they were the loudest away following at the Brit this season, not at all what I was expecting.

37 free coaches for the Rovers but there plan did not come up trumps for them. ;D ;D Rovers fans will be encouraged to make the away end as colourful and noisy as possible in an attempt to inspire the side to a huge three points against their fellow strugglers, with anyone going on the official coaches given free travel. The manager said: “We received fantastic support from our travelling fans at both the KC Stadium and Craven Cottage and it helped in no small way towards the recording of two fully-deserved victories. “As a way of a thank-you, the club are laying on free coach travel to Stoke and we hope the fans take advantage of this fantastic offer and turn out in their numbers for what is another massive game.” www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburnrovers/4239438.Blackburn_Rovers_offer_free_coaches_to_Stoke_up_their_fans/

I was a bit worried with our atmosphere in the first half. Thought it was a bit end of season mid tabley. I know we are mid table but I felt we were a bit complacent? Awesome second half though.
Maybe there were a few too many gloryhunters? I mean, Europe is beckoning.

I think that the flatness of the atmosphere was down mainly to the tension there was about the game - knowing that if we won, we were as good as safe - plus the Blackburn fans were making much much more noise from the start than we're used to seeing from away fans, and perhaps that caught us out a bit.

Could hear them well on telly. Remember I don't have the seething hatred for anything that isn't SCFC. OR for anyone who suggets we perhaps haven't played well or aren't too attractive for neutrals to watch. The hatred t hat some people carry like a badge of honour. BUT, to be honest, I'd be quite pleased if Blackburn statyed up.

it must depend where u sit, cos from my seat in block17 john smith lower, i heard them about 3-4 times at the most.....theyre a 1st division team with 1st division support, who're hanging on to the legacy jack walker gave them 15 odd yrs ago, the sands of time are trickling for thm to return to the level they were at back then.

I find it quite disappointing to see Stoke fans making patronising comments like that about clubs like Blackburn.
As Tony Pulis would say, they are a "proper football club" and, while their heyday may have been in the long distant past, like ourselves they are one of the founding members of the Football League and such have a long and proud tradition.
It is good to see that next season there should be 6 founder members, Stoke, Villa, Everton, Blackburn, Bolton & Wolves in the Premier League (or possibly 7 if Burnley or Preston win the play-offs).
