In a situation like that the best thing to do is to walk on and hope everything is going to be ok, especially as the medics were already there. Obviously was not with an elder of he would of most certainly got a clip around the ear.
Anybody know why the lad got a pasting at the com? And any news on the 2 injured lads yet?

I was at A&E from midnight till lunchtime today. Word was that the lad who fell from the bridge was going to be OK. Couldn't get positive news on the heart attack fellow, hope that doesn't mean the worst.

From what I could see (I was standing relatively view obstructed by the stewards) there was a lot of really intense chest pumping but no defibrillator, and it was a good 12 mins+ before the ambulance got there. I'd say I probably had the best view, the bloke clearing people didnt bother us as we were in between the man and the burger van, as opposed to the car park where there was quite an audience. Why did it take 12+ mins for an ambulance to get there when there's an ambulance parked between the boothen and the john smiths?

From reading other posts it looks like the medics ran from the ground with the defib to try and stabilize him. Maybe they got the ambulance out or another arrived when the area cleared a bit. Hope both fellas are OK.

www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/news/brief-News-Leek-Hanley-Stoke-Trent-Leek/article-914523-detail/article.htmlLooks like it's good news in both cases and they're both okay. STOKE-ON-TRENT: Two people were taken to hospital following Stoke City's match against Blackburn at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
At 5.06pm paramedics were called to a man who fell 10ft from a walkway as he left the grounds.
The man was put on a spinal board and taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, although his condition was not thought to be serious.
A man in his 70s collapsed with a heart attack outside Block 24/25 at 4.55pm. He was successfully resuscitated by staff from the West Midland Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.

Fantastic news. I was there and the ambulance couldnt get through to the old fella so paramedics ran through the stadium with a defib. The bouncers from Delilahs were first to him and called the ambulance on the radio, then helped the paramedics with the crowd buiding up. The two idiots craig is on about just kicked off at the bouncers because they asked them to walk round and let the medics do their stuff. I heard everything dont know how the bouncers kept their cool really after what was going on !! Well done to everyone who helped credit to Stoke.

At approximatly 5 today outside Block 24/25 there was a man recieving treatment for a suspected heart-attack, we didnt see the incident but waited for about 10 minutes and the signs looked terrible, he was put into an ambulance and whatever but we spoke to a paramdeic who said she cant say much legally but it didnt look like there was much hope. EDIT - When I say outside Block 24/25 I mean outside the stadium on the ground. Secondly by the bridge (approx 5:15) apparentley a man fell whilst trying to climb over? He was in a neck brace but we couldnt see so much of this, he also seemed to be recieving oxegyn going through the life saving procedure but like I say I dont know for sure with regards to this case. Anyone shed any light?

Phew! "a man in his 70's" , who said he was 40-55 ish ? ;D Me - i'll admit I got it bang wrong but it was tought to tell with his face being a very pale, almost blue colour and him being surronded by stewards so we only caught glimpses of him. Second edit:

I saw the bridge incident and it wasn't nice. Few stewards there were gawping away over the side of the bridge and made no attempt to move people on which I thought was a bit off and disrespectful as damage was clearly done.
Hope both are OK.

Sorry to tell you all that unfortunatly he man who had a heart attack at the boothen end went on to have another heart attack in hospital. He died in the early hours of Sunday morning. He was Gerald Bennett from Newcastle and had been a stoke supporter for over 60 years. I am his grandaughter and on behalf of the family I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and support.
