First one, outside the Boothen, block24 end there was a man lying prone on the pavement with the St. Johns Ambulance staff around him, and within seconds half a dozen stewards to form a barrier as it was almost right outside the exit gates. Second one, on the Railway foot bridge, there was more ambulance staff and police around someone who appeard to be down the embankment near the tracks, heard someone mention he had a neckbrace on. Get well soon both of you

What a terrible thing to happen. Did the paramedics have a defibrillator only I once had to perform CPR on a man who had a heart attack where I work and unfortunately he passed away before the ambulance arrived. When the paramedics arrived they told me that after 2 minutes without a defibrillator theres only about a 10% chance of survival :-( The only consolation I can find from all this is that the man today was doing something he enjoyed, watching Stoke.

was thinking earlier, is it kinda written that the man who had the heart attack actually watched the whole match wear stoke virtually ensured safety just a thought.
hope he's okay but after reading other posts think i need to put RIP :-(

From what I could see (I was standing relatively view obstructed by the stewards) there was a lot of really intense chest pumping but no defibrillator, and it was a good 12 mins+ before the ambulance got there. I'd say I probably had the best view, the bloke clearing people didnt bother us as we were in between the man and the burger van, as opposed to the car park where there was quite an audience.

White hair, at a guess i'd say around 40-55ish, appeared to be with a woman and a man both in Stoke Jackets, man was bald, woman around same size as man (5"8 - 6"0?), she had dark hair, I'd say they looked around 27-45ish. Sorry its such a rough estimate but I dont want to miss the ages out and make errors.

I was standing by the John Ritchie Statue till they finally wheeled him into the Ambulance.

Craig - I was in the yellow and Grey striper jumper (next to the bloke in the shorts and Beaman) we didnt get out of the ground for along time because for some reason it seems to take Block 24 15 minutes longer to leave the ground than any other block ( ). When we did get out of the ground she was already there crying and being held by the man I described in my post above, I assumed she was his younger sister or something. Like I say thats all pure speculation.

Id say that was a very good description mate. Hope hes ok but if he is dead a minutes appluase instead of silence Good luck Fellow Stokie ! I think a silence is more appropriate. Applause is for people who everyone knew, like George Best, where it was celebrating what he achieved for the club. Then wouldn't be quite the same passion for someone no one had heard of. A sudden death or tradgedy should be met with a silence.

I dont think its gone quiet as such, but it appears that neither of these two have any sort of family or friends on here, so it appears unlikely we will get any sort of news untill tomorrows paper maybe?

The lady who was upset wasnt with him she just saw the whole thing happen. The guy walked out of gate L ( Boothen ) and just collapsed the door lads from Delilahs were first to him and did a great job. St Johns then got to him then joined by paramedics on foot with a defib. They worked there socks off but didnt look good tbh. The guy was late fifties early sixties I would say, grey hair, black trousers, shirt and blue coat I think. I was told they got him back in the ambulance so here is hoping. Well done to all the people involved in trying to help him and the less said about the two idiots kicking off by him the better.

Hope they are both ok.
Also there was a Stoke fan outside the Commercial in Stoke who was being kicked around like a doll. He was covered head to toe in blood. It was truely awful. Not sure what he had done but he was paying a heavy price for it.

Not a chance of that being blackburn fans sal, the Commercial is a staunch Stoke pub, always loads of stokies having a pre or post game beer in there when ever I drive past it on a match day

No you are spot on.
It was Stoke fans, Locals whatever you want to call them.
At least one of them had the sense to drag the poor sods lifeless corpse down the street and away from the the instigators.
I must say though the guy gingerly got to his feet and staggered off towards Iceland after a while (or so Ive been told).
Three people with a day to remember for all the wrong reasons.

Saw a bit of a grim side to our support yesterday as I was going past the bridge and the St Johns had rushed to get to the injured party. One of a group of 3 lads commented a couple of times as loud as he could "Inconsiderate **** going and causing a scene like that" or something Granted they were only young lads and probably didn't realise the extent of the injuries but it annoyed me that they didn't just keep walking and staying quiet like everyone else.

all young lads try to show off when they dont really understand whats going on, they do it make there mates laugh, or people around them, harsh but true.
