Given this boards success in giving up a solution to the ipod/flash conundrum, has anyone outside of the UK managed to crack the BBCs off-shore block on the Iplayer?

i use it
i signed up for a UK VPN thru VPN Gates. This gives me access to all BBC / ITV / Channel 4 / Sky players, and I can also watch all the streaming live TV they pump out too
got it hooked up to my lcd and stereo and it works a treat.
i would suggest you use a pc that has a good lot of ram tho and also a good broadband connection - i have 2 mb and its a bit slow sometimes.

cheers Dubai. that has pointed me in the direction of the VPN subscriptions. A coupe of questions for you. Do you switch to a UK IP# when you need to use it or just leave if permanently connected? For example, I'm in Oz. there maybe certain sites that require an Australian IP. In this circumstance would it be easy to switch back to the one provided by my ISP?

its really simple... i have set it up so i just have a connection icon on my desktop... so when i want to use the UK stuff i can just double click and connect, and then disconnect when im not using it.
i think it cost me about 100 US$ for the year, but to be honest its well worth it... ive also just subscibed to sky through internet for 15 quid per month, which is a bit steep, but basically means i can ditch my local cable tv provider now (which is wank)...so in the long run, with the subscription to the VPN and sky i pay about 20 quid per month for quality stuff as opposed to 60quid fro garbage.
one point tho... bbc radio have got some bastard software that detects the ip past the vpn which means you conner listen to matchday commentary etc.. if anyone has any ideas how to get round that id be very happy to hear them
