I've seen one too many posts and threads that read something like "Next season in the prem" or "Who do you want to go down?" C'mon, people, it could be us! We're still points from safety and, as many others have pointed, STILL ARE STOKE. Call me superstitious or whatever you will, but there's far to many here counting their chickens before they hatch. Apologies for the rant from a relatively new poster and, yes, a damned Yank.

Surely all Americans are brought up to be positive and always look on the bright side?
PS Will you be coming over for our games at Liverpool Everton and Arsenal next year?
;D

I wish that I could. Married into a Stoke-on-Trent family, but the airfare isn't very conducive to getting too many games in person... Fox Soccer Channel has to do...

Totally agree. However I'm optimistic that at least one team below us will pick up less points than us in the remaining games.
Until we're officially safe I'd prefer not to speculate about next year. Could all become a lot clearer at 7:15 on Saturday night though!

Sorry Boston, I am not superstitious. I fail to see how any number of Stokies saying "how high do you think we'll finish in the Prem next year" will have any effect at all on our results in the remaining games. Perhaps you would explain how this sort of superstition works - given that the fans of ALL clubs in the bottom half of the table will include plenty of optimists - even the Baggies have some and Newcastle probably have more than we do given the size of their crowds! ;D ALL the teams with optimistic fans can't get relegated, can they?
