Good to see us back in the top 10 as well, last time i looked we were barely above the Jocks. How the fook are USA 15th though? Above the likes of Sweden and ROI?

Above the likes of Sweden and ROI? because the rankings are done by results got, and the USA have a piss easy continent to play in, against shit poor teams and therefore will climb the rankings quicker than the likes of ROI and Sweden |

Its all about points. Say for instant say a team who were 40th beat the top team 1-0 they would gain more points than the 11th team beating the 10th team 4-0.
You get more points for each goal and the point are higher for who your opponents are.
Something like that anyhow ;D

Win (no penalty shootout) = 3 points
Win (penalty shootout) 2 points
Draw 1 points
Loss (penalty shootout) 1 points
Loss (no penalty shootout) 0 points
Friendly match x the score by 1.0
FIFA World Cup and Continental cup qualifiers x the score by 2.5
Continental cup and Confederations Cup finals x the score by 3.0
World Cup finals match x the score by 4.0
Each team is givin an match multiplyer
Spain 5.00
Germany 4.97
Netherlands 4.95
and so on.
So if Faroe Islands beat Spain 1-0 in the World Cup finals. They'd have 5 points for there goal, times'd by 4 as its a World cup Finals match then times'd by 5 because there opponents are Spain. Therefore gaining 100 points on there Fifa Ranking.
Also disciplinary points are totalled aswell.
Thats what it is roughly anyhow.

FIFA rankings are bollox. They were created because a software company wanted to sponsor them and get their name forward. Makes no sense a lot of it. It's just corporate shit take no notice.
BTW I am a passionate England supporter. Even from here.
