There are three of us going to Fulham (one is U15 so qualifies for the cheaper fairsl), just wondering whether we'll be able to get cheap travel down? Anybody else doing something similar, if so how much has it cost you?
Thanks.

Putney bridge has a couple of trains that leave one after another on match days, about 5ish. That will just about get you at Euston in time, the 5.15ish one you will miss the connection. The info above is from a mate in London,so check it out. Other than a taxi, think this may be your only option. Seems we are going to be running for the same train ;D Of coarse if anyone knows better............................

Journey time from Putney Bridge tube to Euston is around 42 mins, according to the tubeplanner website.
And that's not counting the walk to the station and the queues to get through the barriers.

Don't forget if you need to change trains anywhere that it is usually cheaper to book singles than returns or full one-way journeys. Check out www.thetrainline.com

I don't want to unduly worry you mate, but (although not impossible) you are going to be cutting it mighty fine to make that train. If we're a couple of goals to the good, I would seriously consider leaving Craven Cottage a good few minutes before the end.

Bear in mind, that to pull it off, you're almost certainly going to need to be outside Craven Cottage and walking at 4.45pm rather than still in your seat!

me and a mate priced 2 adults up at £25. But it meant about 2 hours doing nothing until the train home.

The Piccidilly line station is about 5 mins closer and trains run every 3-5 minutes as the line runs to Heathrow.

Further note, the Piccadilly to Victoria change at Green Park is a bit of a pain. Don't follow the Victoria line signs from the platform, follow way out and go up the escalator to the ticket barriers (but not through them) , then follow Victoria line signs. Much quicker.

I think he's far better to stick with his original plan and avoid the change at Green Park. The couple of minute walk from Euston Square tube into the main station is neither here nor there IMHO. Just my opinion mind.

We are catching the 17.00 from Euston to Stoke. Gives time to get away from the match and have a stop off at Euston for food and drinks. No need to rush.
Did the same for Chelsea and it worked out just right. 18.00 is pushing it a bit.

Why are trains to London cheaper if you go from friggin Crewe?
Struggling to find anything for Fulham that dont involve leaving at 8.00am and getting back at 10.00pm with 20 stops on the way!
Help required, please, one adult and a kid to Euston in the most straightforward route.

Swings and roundabouts really but if you miss the 17.15pm you're really struggling to get there on the H&C line as you'll have a 10 minute wait with the piccidilly its 2-3 mins plus you'll save 5 mins ish on the walk as piccidilly platform is closer.

Tar STM Had a quick look for 1 adult + 1 kid Virgin trains all seem to £41.05 standard to London and £39 standard or £42 first class out of london 9.54 from Stoke arriving 12.49 is £21 standard or £25.50 1st class with london midland 18 00, 18 20, 19 00 or 19.20 are £39 (or £42 first class) with Virgin and take about 1hr 30 probably worth the extra £3 with virgin to go first class on the way back as they'll give you free tea / coffee / water / pop and usually biscuits and or crisps but unfortunately no beer like in the week

Got four adult return, leaving Stoke at seven am, return 6.45 pm, change at Northampton, fifteen pounds each, happy days should have been £14 but booked insurance by mistake, £1 each, booked it a month ago, prior planning, just hope we have 6 more points by then.

Thanks lads,
I'll have a look at the London Midland route, as the wife wont be too keen on gallons of pop and free crisps on virgin. For the son that is, not me! STM
