I think pugh is capable of doing us a job at right back if higgy struggles.

Pugh can do a job, as can Dicko.

I think pugh is capable of doing us a job at right back if higgy struggles. Well with Higgy being a left back at present then I reckon Pugh would be more suited there to be honest, I doubt pugh has ever played right back in his life. Nah we need Higgy fit for this one, two clean sheets on the bounce with the same back five we need to maintain the same standards with the same back five as they clearly have a good understanding between each other.

Hope he makes it. He's a tough sod and he'll probably play at 80% but back injuries are a pain in the..er...back.
Tough call between Pugh and Dicko as both would be out of nick after so long without a game, despite Dicko's spell at Leeds a while back.
And whoever comes in will have a tough afternoon against that long-haired Argie right winger.
I'd probably lean towards Pugh

Can Kelly play left-back?
Impressed me when he came on for Wilko against Boro at right-back.

I would give Pugh the nod, merely because he is more experienced and has played a few minutes recently, whereas Dicko hasn't played for about 6 weeks. It does beg the question though why Pugh was only on the bench for the reserve game against Portsmouth. Despite Owen getting the goals at St. James', it was N'Zogbia who ripped us to shreds in the first half (on the left wing). Thankfully, he isn't there any more.

Pugh or Dicko?
At the moment the thought of either of them two doesn't inspire me with much confidence.

Griffin ? There seems more chance that i'd get a game at left back in front of Griff at the minute.

My heart sank when Pugh was named at full-back against Man. City, as he was poor there last season, but he played admirably on the day, so I wouldn't mind his playing. Hopefully Higgy will be fit, though, obviously.

Didn't Wilko and Dicko play against Newcatle in the cup game? kept their wingers quiet that day, they both had a great game. Pugh only jockeys wingers, not a good fullback.

Wilko, Dicko and Pugh were our best players in that cup tie. We will be fine.
