From the official site - part of the training ground article
With regards to our proposals for the 'Windbreak' which had been proposed for the northwest corner of the Britannia Stadium, we have decided not to proceed with the project as Stoke City Council have refused advertisement consent. Advertising on the external face of the structure was a fundamental part of the project. It becomes commercially unviable without it due to our inability to earn any revenue from the structure.

Get some seats put in the scoreboard corner - quick - roof can go on later - put the away supporters in there - we can sell em cheapo plastic ponchos (sponsored by somebody) if the weather is a bit inclement.

Is it the scoreboard corner,or the corner betwixt the Boothen & Js stand. The reason I ask is that I walked through with my dog this morning and there was a van parked by that corner.I did look on the side of the van,and it was some antenna company,so probably nowt to do with it.

The cold piercing wind is also a reason teams have not enjoyed coming to the Brit this (and every other) season.
Why get rid of something that gives us an advantage (however small) over visiting teams? We need to do everything we can at home to tip the balance in our favour.
