Filling the corner in - with seats? Did he say where the big screen would go? Would it be moved higher up near the back or would it be suspended from the (specially strengthened) new stand roof?

Season tickets sales must have gone well.
I suppose it also depends on the difference in cost between the seats which generate revenue and just a windbreak that doesn't.
Be good to have the corners filled though.

Im not being funny or anything wembley but " season tickets sales must have gone well " not realy mate, if i remember right 3 or 4 years ago we were told if we get promoted the corners will be filled in. Then when we did we started asking questions about the corners and then got told if we stayed up we would have the corner filled in. Know looking like we have got a great chance to stay up ( its not over yet ) they are just sticking by their word. I know what your saying like because they wouldn't build it if they weren't going make a profit from it.

Season tickets sales must have gone well. I suppose it also depends on the difference in cost between the seats which generate revenue and just a windbreak that doesn't. Be good to have the corners filled though. A windbreak would be the fraction of the cost and would probably pull in a significant amount of advertising revenue.

5554 - you don't really still believe that what people say they always stick to? Spose not mate, But if you say something in a football club they usualy stick to it. Or there would be trouble mate

Didn't Sky show an interest in sponsoring a wind break last summer? Was it Homzy of TEAMtalk who mentioned it?
On a related subject, passing Walsall's Bescott stadium for the first time in a few months on Saturday, I noticed you can now hardly see it from the M6 because of advertising wind breaks. They must provide a significant amount of income for the club.

If he is putting more seats in, who gives a fuck where the scoreboard is going? It's not like you won't know the score, and you can watch the highlights on Match of the Day. More seats = More fans = More intimidating atmosphere.

Nothing to do with thousands and thousands of people passing on a small country back road eh forny! a500 and a50 aren't quiet so advertising revenue would be very profitable . hopefully the council wont pass the advertisement planning then we'd have to put seats in to gain revenue personally i dont want the windbreak as i dont care about being cold, a proper roof on a seated stand will improve the acoustics a fair bit

I'm sure Sheff utd filled in one of the corners at Brammel Lane when they got promoted, I think it cost £3-4m.

Can't the scoreboard take it's place on top of the dressing rooms? Also, what ever happened to the red running track?

If the scoreboard goes on the dressing room roofs people in the main stand will not beable to see (we can't have that can we) has for the red running track I was told they've got to wait for better weather.

I was told that too redblue but surely we've had some half decent weather in the past nine months to be able to do it?!!

hope they do fill the corner in i and many others have had to miss games this season due to not being able to get a ticket, and i am sure there are many others in the same situation an extra 1,500-2,000 seats could make all the diffrence and if there was ever a good time to do some work on the stadium it must be now they will get it done for half the price

The scoreboard will always stay in the same area as it is in view of the more expensive seats and directors boxes etc. I presume that they will place it on the roof of the extension?

they are getting surveyors in to test the foundations that are already in,to make sure they havent degraded or moved,if they are still up to scratch the corner will be relatively cheap to construct.if you have to strengthen the foundations you can double or even triple the cost ;D

If the scoreboard goes on the dressing room roofs people in the main stand will not beable to see (we can't have that can we) . they can turn their heads can't they? the fans in the east stand have to, and there are soon to be premium seats in there

This is where the largest money is.

As I thought, not like Coates to run with an expenditure that wouldn't get a return.
However, no planning permission ( no advertising ), no windbreak.

Scoreboard could go above tunnel? in between john smiths and boothen? Above the new seats where it is now? The possibilites are endless

I think no to the windbreak. WE need the cold and breezy weather to help with making the Brit a more intimidating atmopshere. Either fill the corner with more seating to get more noise or do nothing at all.
