Apols if already posted and I missed it, but what is to stop every club placing their debt into the hands of a parent holding company and escaping any points deduction?
Nowt against Southampton, but doesn't this smack of one rule for League Two tiddlers and another for a club with a recent Prem past?

A lot of clubs are threatening to do just that unless the authorities take action against southampton. The rules will obviously be changed for the future but whether they could legally make a points deduction stick against Southampton is a bit doubtful. More work for the lawyers methinks.

Cheers. You'd have thought that the League would have lawyers capable of foreseeing something like this wouldn't you?!

They're going down anyway so won't make much difference.
