I'm sure one of the main reasons behind our fantastic support of the team is the 23 long and painful years we have spent in the wilderness.
I hope that when we do stay up we take this passion and spirit in to the seasons ahead.
I'm sure we will hear the press comment on the long suffering Geordie fans and that the club is to big to go down, well that's not going to wash with us Stokies.

I hope the noise stays too but you can definitly tell that the novelty has played a huge part.
... it should do though because the boothen end has always been noisy, but the Brit has always been only half full (ish) during our time there and so the noise is dragged away whereas if we stay up we will continue to be sold out everyweek and so as long as the fans dont rest on their laurels it should still be a BEARPIT.
I still dont get why geordies reckon they are such great fans? how loud have they been this year considering how many fans they have there? (bordering on manure pathetic in terms of size?) ......they also constantly get bored with their new managers very quickly (souness, allardice, roeder..etc...) and therefore have no stablilty and therefore have to shun some of the blame too
