... a year ago. Nash Griffin Riggott Cort Pugh Delap Whelan Pearson (Bothroyd 77) Cresswell Sidibe (Fuller 56) Ameobi. Subs not used : Simonsen, Shawcross( ), Dickinson. How far have we come. 2 maybe 3 starting players from there are in todays XI (Delap/Whelan/Mama). Well done TP.

Actually I'm surprised by how many of the Championship squad HAVE made the step up.
Wilko, Shawcross, Liam, Whelan, Delap, Fuller, Mama have all been regulars whilst Pugh hasn't let us down and Griff had a good start to the season. Higgy was of course in the Championship squad before he went to Sunderland.
The new faces of: Sorenson, Ab Faye, Etherington and Beattie have taken us to a new level but the core of the Championship squad hasn't disgraced itself.
