Anyone know how we can go about doing this? Does it need to be on a pay per download site in order to count towards the official charts? Surely it's worth 70 odd pence or whatever it is from all of us to get him in the charts. Any ideas? Lets do eet!!!

think you can self publish but not sure. Couldnt he make it available for free and everyone could just keep downloading it? imagine the pundits faces.

We need to sort out summat so that either he gets all the money from it, or if he's still being anonymous, it could go to Radio Stoke who could then pass it on. I'm crap with things like this, but think it'd be an absolute pisser. The challenge is set Stokies....

iTunes, Amazon etc downloads is the way to go. You may be able to do this yourself, but I think it is easier to use a distribution or publishing service. I don't think they are too expensive about a $1 per song and some set-up charges. Have a look at: www.songcastmusic.com/www.tunecore.com/cdbaby.com/

...as a thought, if Pottermouth were willing, perhaps he could give the proceeds over to the Donna Louise Trust and ask some of the players to help promote it...

Sounds a really good idea BUT would somebody not have to contact whoever owns the rights to the song to use it as it would be against copyright ???

Doesn't Pottermouth own the rights to the song?

The backing track could be redone surely. It's all about the lyrics. I would bet there is a standard rap track available for Garage Band or Logic Pro that would be licence free.

Loads available (quite like the first one once it gets going) www.premiumbeat.com/royalty_free_music/royalty_free_hip_hop_music.php...not that it's anything to do with me. If anyone knows Pottermouth have a word, I'd love to help out if he wants to do it.

I think Radio Stoke own the rights. If they do, I'm sure they'd release them for free if proceeds went to Donna Louise Lets keep this at top of board, could be great fundraising opportunity and imagine Bruno Brookes having to announce it as No.1 (is it still Bruno Brookes on radio 1?)
