I too am Stoke, obviously,my Fiance is from Geordie stock though,Stanley Durham. Her dad,mum and uncles & aunties are all Geordie fans, i'm taking her to her first Stoke game on saturday, she isn't that fussed herself, but i will be on the phone constantly to them. Oh we get married 5th sept,i have told her dad to keep his speech clean as a whistle, cus if not and they get relegated he and the rest of them are getting it both barrels !!! ;D ;D

thickgeordieminor: Tricky for you! Understand you love your dear old dad and he obviously has a life-long passion for Newcastle.
Purely in your case, I think you should hope that we both survive.
The rest of us, I'm afraid are hoping like f..k that Newcastle go down
Sorry mate!

We'll still survive and if 'Castle go down, it wont appear to have been anything to do with Stoke.

I can remember my Pompey supporting mate phoning me from Huddersfield iirc, just after I'd watched the Man City game at the Brit and was basically in bits about being relegated, he couldn't contain his glee and was all excited about them staying up.
I lost a lot of respect for him that day I'm afraid, he knew how much it meant to me and I'd have never done that had the roles been reversed.
If we win (please God), personally I'd keep my celebrations pretty low key around your Dad, bloke at our place is a fanatical toon fan, he won't be getting much stick from me tbh.
If Pompeys season suddenly falls apart and they go down tho'......
