Its the only way to play.
England would win the World Cup with room to spare.

I think there's an element of both in there. All too often he simply does just hit it blindly long to see what will happen, and there's no way he looked and saw Ricci for his pass for the first on Saturday, but he'll know that with a player like Fuller chasing it down there's a chance something will come of it, so I'd call it calculated hit and hope.

it irritates the shit out of me when I see Higgy play his aimless hoofs up the pitch - never worse than Spurs away. However, when they result in a goal, they're ok

He's been very solid for us this season in a position which is not his best. Danny's ball for the first goal was a good knock into the right area after Tommy had put him in a sticky situation. His ball to Ric in the build up to the second goal was much more measured and is what he can do when he puts his mind to it. The cross Higgy put in for Mama in the reverse fixture was top notch as well.

thats the luxury of having a great left foot, when put in a tricky situation, like the first goal..people just dont realise how much it is worth..and how well he did in that situation.
