Once in a while you imagine what the "perfect" day will be like in footballing terms.... I'm sure every supporter thinks about this every week.
Yesterday was one of those days for me
At Last - Stoke City get their first Premiership away win and the timing was perfect.
Our two Strikers score great goals against a backdrop of sun drenched Stoke fans who outclassed, outsung and outstayed the Baggies home support.
The players looked perfectly together and showed what they're capable of at BOTH ends of the field despite the hoardes of media gritting their teeth and having to admit, STOKE CITY ARE BETTER THAN WEST BRAZIL..... Tippy tappy boring drivel, nice pass here, nice ball there and ............ Sorry Frank Skinner and Adrian "Bear Head" Chiles..... Nil Points!
Then I find out that one of our past hero's "Peter Thorne" comes back from injury and scores the equaliser at the death to bring his tally for Bradford to 15 for the season! Class Mr Thorne!
Then, the only other team I look out for (Brother in laws team) Sheffield Wednesday win away at Carrow Road... Perfect.
Then, I forgot I had a bet for a 0 -2 win away at 11/2 and pick up £150 smackers... bloody perfect
Newcastle flop against Chelski despite the messiah returning to St James Park... Perfect result.
Middlesborough get hammered and the goal difference take a battering as we see our's improve against them by 5!! Even better!
Blunderland look happless at West Ham. Great!
Stoke City FC are now ABOVE Dull City - following all the arrogant crap and banter we've had from them.... where are they now eh?! Lol... Bloody perfect - again!
LIverpool win away at the last minute to make the Premiership that bit more interesting at the top.
Derby (who I dislike) think they've won only to be thwarted by a late equaliser... Nice.
Forest can't manage to win against Barnsley and remain in the relegation zone in the fizzy Pop League. Cool.
So, apart from a 10 nil thrashing of West Brazil .... WHAT A DAY TO BE A STOKIE! ;D ;D
Todays papers hail Tony Pulis and our team for their performance.....
Such a perfect day!
Cheers,
Mac
