they really are falling like a stone, they have only picked up 1 point since they played us and are looking like relegation fodder. Manure up next for them

We need 3 to go down instead of us. I don't mind who they are.
Even though I have consistently predicted Dull to go down, it would suit better for that third place to be filled by Blunderland.
Dull would then be one of the favs to go down next year as they wouldn't have the cushion of their 'pact with the devil' start to the season.
So looking ahead optimistically to next season, we would have the 3 promoted teams and Hull in a worse shape than us.

i,m not surprised, did a predictor with about 12 games 2 go and had them 3rd bottom, tough run in. be a shame can remember them gloating when they where beating us in our glorious relegation season back in 98 at the stadium of shite. pissed myself when little old charlton beat them on pens in play off final ;D

Hasn't he been arrested for assault or something? Apologies for the 'slur' if not but if true, would tend to put TP off.

We certainly had nothing going for us, against a poor Sunderland side, at the SOL. We had three off injured in the first quarter, plus Ethers sent off. Niall Quinn, who not only brought in Keane but amazingly wanted him to stay, as the part-time manager he was, promotes a fellow who didn't even want the job, despite "having nearly a hundred applications, including some of world class"! No doubt he'll get away with it (thanks to 'Castle, Hull or whoever) and then, as he said to a Wearside supporters' meeting, this week, "thanks to (secretive US investor) Ellis Short, in whom I trust 100%, we can become relegation-free." Well, bully for him. The NE does seem to have a plethora of Messiahs and self-promoters. Thank God my football club and us Stokies are less pretentious and as self-deprecating ("we've won it two times....." as we proved to be at the Hawthorns, yesterday. Ultimately, it makes life so much more enjoyable and satisfying and I, for one, wouldn't swap it. Can't wait for Saturday.

They have a wretched run in and need to win three of them to stay up, can`t see it. When Keane left they had the usual upturn of results, but now the novelty has worn off with the new Guy in charge.

Don't wish to sound conceited but it was mentioned several weeks ago by yours truly that they were in freefall and Brom,Boro and Sunderland would go down. Big Head (that's me by the way)
I don't give a stuff who goes down because it won't be us.
Our team, manager and backroom staff have been brilliant. The supporters cannot be described with words.
Goods times ahead.

There always seems to be one team that sinks like a stone, and this year it's Sunderland. With them, 'castle, Boro and Hull all looking possible to go down from the Prem, as well as Hartleppol from League One, and Darlington going into administration, these are dreadful times for North East football.

Blyth Spartans struggling in the Blue Square North league, serves them right for knocking us out of the FA cup in 78 though.

If West Brom weren't quite so toss, I think we'd of lost Newcastle, Boro and Sunderland this season. No bad thing.

S'land is doing the best in competing with Hull how to implode as fast as possible. And they're doing a bloody good job as well! They could be in serious trouble if they don't get their act together ASAP. Not that I mind, though!
