..against Newcastle and Middlesbrough then..
1. We are both then just about safe
2. We should play out our fixture for the usual 1-1 draw and that should seal it.

... or if Stoke & Boro win and Hull lose. Then Stoke beat you at your place, we could put a big old rusty nail in Phil Browns coffin. Which sounds much better to me.

I'd settle for that.
But the roller coaster is still running and there are twists yet my friend.

it is though isn't it? Any of a number of clubs could go down. So "sleeping with the enemy" to keep us both up might not be a bad thing. Then next season we can start the cat fights again

Is there any result we can play out that ends up with Stoke & Hull staying up but Phil Brown going down?

I agree, elliotgold. Although Brown has lost all my respect after his antics this season, I reckon it would be great for us both to stay up and kick some Sicko Frantic press arses. They must be in deep mourning at the moment worrying that the 'hotbed of passion up north' is, probably, about to lose two of it's teams from this league. Both win next week and a draw at your place sounds good. There's one factor you forgot...we will beat Blackburn before we take you on and will be well out of the relegation zone by then. (I couldn't resist that bit of cat-scratching). OS.

I agree elliot it would be nice for two promoted teams to hold their own and shut this Premier League aristocracy up. A win for both at weekend would be lovely!

Then we could forget about the game at the KC and just have a piss up instead!

I am mellowing a bit towards Hull.
If you ignore Brown, and he makes it hard with his constant self-promotion, it would be a great story if we both stayed up.
But you've got to have doubts about whether Hull can hang on.
If you look at their form since their freakish early-season run came to a stuttering halt after their win at West Brom in October, it's pretty hard to make a case for their survival.
2 wins and the same points total as the Baggies in the last 22 games. I think they'd be doomed without that freaky late winner at Fulham.
Maybe they'll probably have to beat us to stay up if Newcastle can gouge something out?
4 tricky away games (Boro, S'land, Villa, Bolton) and Stoke the only home game they stand a chance of getting anything with Man U and L'pool the other visitors.

For the first time this season we've got three teams that look in deeper trouble than the rest. Boro and WBA look VERY iffy now and a swift kick to Newcastles knackers will see them going the same way.
Hopefully elliotgolds plan will work and we'll have a worry free few games!

Just one problem here.
Hull won't win next week. Indeed they are struggling to score again this season.
The relegation trapdoor is not ajar for them - it is a gaping chasm sucking them down into oblivion.

Be lovely Stoke and Hull staying up. And much as I wuld have liked the Baggies to stay up.in a way it will give me a sense of satifaction to stuff all the pundits with all their fotball nous telling us that the Baggies had Premiership style and quality, and that we werren't fot to gtace this division. The same to the bloody know all football supporters of every team we've played coming onto our board, smirking and certain that we would go down. Not settled yet, but we can see it happening now.

The same to the bloody know all football supporters of every team we've played coming onto our board, smirking and certain that we would go down. Not settled yet, but we can see it happening now. As safety starts to look more probable than possible, it does create a bit of a dilemma for me: Nothing against Hull, but how much would I love to see Brown and Duffen disappear back to obscurity. However, that would probably see the Cartoon Army safe, and I want the Shearer Experiment to fail. And anyway, the CCC needs a big club to help replace the ones that are dropping into the lower leagues. ;D Relegation for the Mackems might not be a bad thing either, as there could be a few decent players becoming available if that happens. And finally, let's not get too jubilant about the demise of Brazil. It's been great fun to watch the Gurning Gimp squirm this season, but that's six guaranteed points we'll miss next term. The Dingles won't be inclined to be anywhere near as charitable as their Yam-Yam neighbours.
