No crude remarks please....but which players do you think could be ''touched up' in exchange for greater riches.?
As usual I'll start..
Beattie Fuller Shawcross Faye Wilkinson....is doing fantastic.
Can we resist the temptations..?
I bloody well hope so.!!

It all depends mumf. It can be a tough question. If, say, Spurs come in for Shawcross and ofer a big fee what do we do? Obviously we want to keep him. BUT everybody's got a price. Also it could mean his chance to play for a bigger club get more chance of an England place and perhaps a few medals and, the point has to be made, a great big pay rise. If he wanted to go would it really be right of SCFC to hold him back?

Joe....Well if I was in Peter Coates' shoes, then the answer to your question is a definite NO. Peter Coates was hated when he first took over, but as I said at the time, should be given the benefit of the doubt, and he has fulfilled my dreams. He can take this club to a new level, but in doing so , must resist the temptations to sell his best players(Within reason). If a player is adamant that he does not want to play for us anymore, then it becomes another matter. What we have at the moment is very good...a good mix of young and old.We would be extremely foolish to make the same mistakes as we have done in the past.We are now in the fortunate position of massive cash injections from the Premier league if we manage to survive, and it would be utter madness if we reverted back to our 'bad old ways'.

To tell you the truth I think we're likely to be pretty much immune from this sort of thing.
I can't really see any of the top four or Villa or Man City being interested in any of our squad, then apart from Everton and Spurs the rest of the league wouldn't really be a step up for any of our players.
Would any of our lot really be in a hurry to join Wigan, Fulham or West Ham?
So probably the only possible 'approaches' we would have to worry about would be either Everton or Spurs coming in for either Ryan or Abdoulaye, although I think both of these examples would be unlikely.
