He started to walk off v Boro. Then had a chat with Tony and went back. If he thinks he's funny I'm more than happy to explain to him that he's not! It's hard enough being a Stoke fan without him playing us along! Brilliant humour though!

I think he just sums up what being a footballer should be all about. He knows he's in a position that millions of others would love to be, in playing the game that he loves and getting a hefty pay packet for it too. I just think he goes out and enjoys it because he knows it won't last forever. Its a shame a few of the bigger stars in the premiership don't follow his example. Well done beatts, we fucking love ya

Anyone see his MOTD interview?
James, a great strike with your weaker foot.
Beats: I dont have a weaker foot.
Reporter laughs
Our james interrupts with a deadly serious face, WHAT YOU LAUGHING AT ;D

It all emphasises the point some people made last night. We effectively swapped the skulking, big headed, idle Kitson for the breath of fresh air that is James Beattie.
A triffic move by TP.

2 highlights for me yesterday were 2 of our most important players showing how much they love the club: Beattie's encouragement to the crowd in the second half, and Abdoulaye being the first person to come to the Stokies at full time. Two of the most naturally gifted footballers I've seen playing in the red and white stripes in my lifetime, both enjoying it!

he is a right pisser... loving it here methinks Right player, right club, right time. Everything that Kits wasn't. Such a great feeling the way BT and Stokies have come together, I love it.
