Official website states that West Brazil have informed Stoke that there will be no alcohol sold in the away end! This is starting to get on my nerves, i know a lot of our fans go into city centres and local boozers but why should we not be sold ale inside? After all are they are not stopping ale being sold in the home end? I think not. This has happened at a few grounds but to be honest it only seems like the local games! Had to get it off me chest.Sorry

to be fair you'd think it should be the other way around anyway as it's obviously going to be easier for the Brazil fans to drink locally as most of them live there so know where to go

To be honest the food/drink area is too small and badly designed for the number of people that want to fit in it and to allow people to pass through to the stand.

errr take your time and think about it fradley Yeah i know what they will say etc... But they honestly think trouble makers are not going to drink because they won't get it in the ground, all it does is punish the genuine fans.

Bloody annoying, ah well will have to stay in the vine with my beer and curry for an extra twenty mins. They are selling alcohol in the home ends after the match as well so that the Brazillians can celebrate their flamboyant, exciting and freeflowing fall back into the Championship.

That is totally missing the point here!
What about the fans who do enjoy a beer at halftime and maybe havn't had chance to go to pubs before if they have come on official coaches.
The prejudice against Stoke fans absolutely stinks. There have been numereous grounds over the past couple of seasons that refuse to sell alcohol at halftime. In fact, Rugby fans can even drink in the stands at several of the same grounds we have been to ie Wigan.
Stoke fans treated like second class citizens once again!!!

I know, most of the grounds this seen wouldn't serve alcohol, but we can't do anything about it.

I have no idea, the grounds that have sold alcohol this season, there has been no trouble, so it makes no sense.

I wonder if StaffordStokie (reformed smoker but struggling) will be as indignant regarding this topic. I mean lets face it Alcohol is responsible for a fair percentage of crime, abuse and violence. So surely it must be banned. Along with standing, swearing, smoking, inapropiate chanting and being a football fan !

GD When I have a pint I do not pour it over your hair, clothes and force it down your throat. You selfish smokers force me to breathe in ur smoke when you have a fag. Alcohol doesn't cause the crime, irresponsible drinkers/thugs do. It is wrong to punish the majority of drinkers just because some individuals choose to drink too much and behave badly. EVERY TIME someone smokes in the stand/concourse/toilet they are inconveniencing others, I stand there chatting to the old man, both with a pint in hand inconveniencing no one.

You don't see any trouble at the British Legion, dozens of pissed pensioners slugging it out on the car park after a skinful. Dickheads cause trouble, not beer.
