BBC are reporting rumours that the parent company of Southampton is about to go into administration. That will presumably put them down to Div 1?
Of course the imprtant thing is will they now have the money to pay us any money due on the transfer of Ant Pulis? ;D

isn't it past the 10 point decution this season deadline, and thus they would start next season on -10 in which ever division they finish in

SSN have said they may not get a point deduction because the parent company and not Southampton FC will go into admin.

SSN have said they may not get a point deduction because the parent company and not Southampton FC will go into admin. If that is correct it would seem to be a very large loophole in the regulations?

The BBC are reporting that a points deduction would be at the Football League's discression. You would imagine that Saints wouldn't get away with this one. isn't it past the 10 point decution this season deadline, and thus they would start next season on -10 in which ever division they finish in I would like to know the answer to this too! Surely it would effect this season? Didn't Darlo get docked the specified 10 points just a few weeks ago?

SSN are still saying they may not get points off and if they did it would take place next season and not this.

To be fair, wouldnt have much impact on us. Even the players we looked at from them wouldnt be good enough for us IMO.

Yes the deadline for points deductions was last week sometime. Now it will be carried over to next season.

Some interesting comments on the BBC article yesterday, seems Saints could recieve a points deduction this season: "If the Football League opts to impose a points penalty after the report is published, the application of any punishment is dependent on Saints' final position.
If they avoid the bottom three places in the table, the penalty would be applied this season resulting in almost certain relegation.
However, if Saints fail to climb out of the relegation zone in the final five matches, the points penalty would be enforced from the start of next season in League One."news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/7989219.stm
