I dont where the new one is, I only know where the old one was, on my nans old street. Straight down D-road until you hit Nantwich right at the small roundabout so it takes you to a set of cross roads...left and follow that orad round past subway and some shops and right onto weaver road youll get to a junction which is a main road with housing estate to the left and stadium on the right

I wonder if we'll see Stoke playing Nantwich in an early preseason friendly next July? That would be a good way to give Nantwich a financial boost over and above whatever we pay them for the Reserve games. They will be a bit higher a level than Newcastle Town I suppose? And with a bigger first team squad (and a few traillists? ) we might need more games than normal.

To the bottom right of the pic there is a massive car park so you can literally fall straight out of the car into the ground.

I think I will be going to one of the last two homes games at Nantwich, it looks a tidy little ground.

As Gary said earlier, it's less than 5 minutes walk to lots of good pubs too!

Looks a decent little ground. I feel sorry for Newcastle Town out of all this though. I feel a bit sorry for Newcastle as well James. But when you look at the difference between the two stadiums - it is a bit of a no brainer as to which one would suit Premier League reserve football, isn't it? Whilst Newcastle have done well with regular income from playing Stoke, Vale and Crewe, Nantwich have thought a bit bigger and got themselves a £1 million grant and raised another £2.5 million to do a proper job on their stadium - this is just one of the benefits they are getting from thinking big. Not too late for Castle of course, they could do a Nantwich one day - possibly with help from Stoke - although their present site is cramped compared to the Nantwich site. Is the Roe lane playing field site big enough to accomodate a Weaver Stadium type complex and still leave room for other pitches? Note: I lived at number 4 Roe Lane until I was 18 - wonder if there is a blue plaque on the house? ;D

another one for you to add to the ever growing list eh Knowles Spot on Mark. I never realised Steve Davis was an apprentice at Stoke before having a decent career at Burnley.
