Post by lordb on Mar 24, 2009 13:25:12 GMT
you might - depends on whose buying, how long his contract has to go,if theres more than 1 club after him e.t.c.
could get as low as £500k but I would expect at least £1m for him if he goes in the summer.

I agree with Garry H. Maybe not on every figure but his total of about £30 million is about right.

Agreed, minimum £4mill for Fuller. Has scored us some goals this season and is vital to us.

fuller is worth more than 1 million No he isnt because he cannot pass a conventional medical because of his knee, a medical will show knee damage that could potentially end his career at any time. Any deal for Fuller has to be heavily loaded on a pay per play deal meaning his transfer value could only ever be 1 mill max hence why we got him for 250k www.guardian.co.uk/football/2004/aug/20/newsstory.sport5

I don't think I agree. He'd be a gamble, sure, but I can think of a team who have recently spent £5m on a man with a history of bad injuries. With, as they say, hilarious consequences. ;D

can i ask are we talking about what people would bid or what we would ask for? there is a very big difference there! for instance as much as i think he's been immense especially the last couple of months i couldn;t really see anyone bidding £4-5 Mill for Shawcross. That's a big pricetag for someone who's had one Prem season and has only just been recognised for U21 duties. and £3.5 mill for LAwrence who's only played a handful of games all year? who'd pay that exactly? i think there are a fair few (understandably, admittedly) red and white tinted specs here

To me, I think a lot of people over valuate our players
Like Garry has said Fuller isn't worth much over 1 million because of his knees and maybe his piss poor attitude might put alot of manager soff shelling out big bucks for him. Sorro, 500k top, he's getting at that past it age now, where money wont be spent on him, you'll be able get as good standard goallie on a free, if tonge soares and oli had had more games and actualy shown what they showed in the champ last season, you could probbaly doube there valuations

Anybody who would pay £1 million for Diao when he is out of contract this summer would have to have a screw loose! ;D

This is the Premiership chaps....and with Wilkinson and Shawxross you have completely undervalued them both.
Many independent commentators have mentioned how well both have improved.
In Wilkinsons case I would have to go with 3.5 Million and for Shawxross at LEAST £7Million.
Where could you buy players at this age with this potential...especially in Shawxross's case.
Is Rio Ferdinand worth £15 million more......No chance.
