I have just watched Stoke V Boro on Sky+ for the 3rd time, and afterwards i had a spare hour, so decided to watch the Everton game again, which i hadn't deleted.
Now, this may be me being ridiculous. but stay with me here...
i couldn't go to the Everton game due to a gig i had to play. but i listened to the radio on the way down to the town where we were playing, and bar the odd song, the vast majority of the singing that i heard came from the stoke fans (just like every other away game i have heard on the radio).
However on Sky+ it was the Everton fans who seemed to do most of the singing, however it sounded like the 'top-end' had possibly been boosted to make the toffees fans seem louder than they were. those of you who have any kind of knowledge of audio/sound engineering will know, the easiest way to 'cheat' and make something sound a lot louder than it is, is to boost the top frequency and add lots of gain to the original signal. whilst this does make it sound louder, this is accompanied by a very 'tinny' sound, and slight hissing at extreme levels. the same as turning the treble up too high on your stereo.
Now everytime stokies sang, the terrific delilah for instance, it sounded normal. just like every other crowd noise seen on any other highlights programme.
Anyone else notice this??? would they really boost the signal to make the everton fans sound better than they were??? or maybe the radio feed was mis-leading...
can anyone who was in goodison shed some light on the issue?

On the radio the Mic is in one place, on the TV they have them all round the ground

I thought the same! Also, I could hear little voices in the commentary from the Sunderland game. One of them was whispering 'start a fire' repeatedly.
