After watching the post match interviews yesterday i have to say what a decent and honest man Gareth Southgate is. No ranting and raving, just an honest appraisal of the game. I would love it,love it if Boro stayed up with us and Tango Man and his obnoxious pal Allardyce f**ked off back to the championship.

always seems from his interviews as if he is just about to have some sort of a breakdown

Desmond Tutu is a nice bloke - perhaps Gibson will offer him the job if Southgate falls on his sword? ;D

He might be a nice bloke but he is doing a shit job! True. Seems to be a case of the players rebelling against the manager, like Spurs did with Ramos.

I do think he is a decent up and coming manager who will only get better with experience, but certainly for this season i think Gibsons loyalty with Southgate will result in relegation and Southgate out of work in the summer.

Prrsonally, I think that (chairman) Gibson and Soutgate are made for each other. Both seemingly decent, ambitious, loyal and unflustered fellows, so rare in football.
Yes it will probably lead to relegation this time around but I'd fancy Boro for immediate promotion from the CCC. They have princples, regarding how a club should be run, believe in using their marvellous youth scheme and are not moaners or self-publicists.
It was good to see Gibson walk to his seat in the directors box, with no affectation, no back-slapping 'grandiosity' (unlike some) and with only an avid interest in the beloved club he has supported financially, for so long and with so little respect from supporters, when the going gets tough.

Nice bloke, horrible team. If it were possible to get rid of Hull, Boro and Newcastle and keep the Baggies up for shits and giggles (and 4-6 guaranteed points a season), that would be sweet.
