i'm a not a smoker first of all but yesterday it showed how the fans run the show at the Brit. openly smoking while stewards turned a blind eye and walked past thoses doing it. they (stewards) must be shit scared to cause a reaction first ground i've ever been at and seen that happen.

pisses me off at half time when people go in bogs and smoke. I saw to little lads walk out the toilets and they could hardly breathe.
It has to be stopped as it isnt fair on non smokers who want to use the toilets.

Block 19 was alright during the game, its just half time that it gets a bit juvenile in the concourse, all this chanting of bnp at the stewards who dared to be of a different race. Just geezers trying to do a job and they have morons jumping in their faces screaming england.

Smoking is evil and it should be banned. Smokers are worse than Hitler. Smokers should fuck off and die and let us saintly non-smokers enjoy life on our pedestals.
Ahem. Anyone got a Rizla?

I don't smoke and am pleased that there is no smoking in the stands.
The concourses are a different matter altogether and I can't see why there isn't better ventilation so that there are designated smoking areas. Yes, I know it is shameful for grown men and women to be so weak as to be addicted to something so harmful, but they are still human beings.
I am more annoyed by those who leave early or are up and down out of their seats during the game. They should be superglued to their seats whilst play is in progress.

I dont smoke but i cant see the problem with it, the bogs never used to get smogged up and smoke in the stand just vanishes and it only bothers the vicar and his flock of do-gooders, even the ilfordidiot claims to have had the odd "rolley" at the back of the boothen for which he should recieve a lifetime ban imo.

Good point.I`m a smoker, but don`t feel the need to have a smoke in the 2 hours I`m there.

All they need to do is open the gates at half time as certain other grounds (derby, west brom etc...) do. I have emailed John Alcock and Tony Scholes regarding the smoking issue and suprise suprise... no response!!

I don`t think they`ll do that, because they could end up with more people in the ground than there are seats.

As far as opening the gates its been mentioned in the past and the general concensous was that it would need to be policed at a cost to SCFC and the feeling was why should SCFC pay just so people can smoke!!!........Perhaps they could have a pen where smokers pay to get in, That way it pays for itself

I read a while ago that smokers (& their related diseases) cost the NHS 4 billion GBP each year. The income from TAX on cigarretes generated 84 billion GBP. Do the maths.

They're starting on your drinking now. Be very afraid. Those who drink from pint glasses should not throw the first stone. OS.
