With David James saying most of the current Pompey players won't be there next season, Krankjaar (quality play-maker) and Crouch (just about meets the Pulis height requirement) would fit nicely into our set up.

Kranjar will be looking for a champions league club - although he will probably have to settle for an Everton or a Villa or maybe a german club.
TP would kill to have Crouch in his side.
what about James?

No way on this earth that Krancjar would come to us and extremely unlikely that Crouch would either. Sean Davis would be a good, realistic signing from them. If we had him and O'Neill from Boro in the middle we'd start looking like a real Prem team IMO.

Well, they went to Portsmouth - and they're not a bigger club than Stoke.
When we stay up it'll be time to raise our sights.

No way Krancjar would come to Stoke unfortunately

When we stay up it'll be time to raise our sights. Krancjar wasn't a big name when he went there - he's a far bigger name now who's been linked with Arsenal. Crouch signed for a team with a high-profile manager who'd just won the FA Cup - bit of a difference from a team who will have just managed to survive their first prem season (not that that isn't a great achievement).
