and that 1 man is the manager.
look at that side, and they shouldn't be where they are.
if they played with some hunger and passion and with a decent manager they should be in UEFA cup spots

Agree and don't agree Dave.
So much homegrown and the best youth team in the country recently.
Gibson his own worst enemy- there's a shite load of cash to sign X Y and Z. Thought he'd learned his lesson.
I think Southgate got it right at the back and has a good side on paper. Just not happening.
as for the hunger that seems reserved for the local boys and that speaks volumes.
I think they pay stupid wages and too many passengers.

I thought they were a dirty cynical team, it was like watching one of Colin Wankers Shef U sides in the first half.
But they have some really good players, so it puzzles me they are doing so poorly, and I still point the finger at the manager

They beat Liverpool due to the most bizarre line up I ever saw. Even the commentators said so and Liverpool friends was watching with. If ever a team are cocking up a title then, hey Rafa.
6 seasons in the Prem a good record Dave but just feel the team in a rut.
Tuncay was superb

They are in a rut, I just don't rate southgate, if they had wanted to break the rut they should have done a spurs and got shot of him sharpish .
we missed a trick yesterday not chanting "sacked in the morning" at him

No, should have stuck the knife in, he probably made more off the Pizza Hut advert after Euro 96 than most of us will earn in a decade

I doubt that Dave but you just made me a bit hungry. :-) Gibson to be fair sticks with his managers- Southgate has kept them up for a few years and made him big money. Can't knock Southgate as a person- seems an all-round decent chap. Brilliant youth team- shit season. It happens.

I rate Southgate - he's intelligent and articulate and, I suspect, is future England manager material, largely because of his media-friendly image. Middlesborough looked a very decent side but they lack an out-and-out goalscorer. If Beattie was on their side, they'd have won 3-0.

They looked an ok side, just very blunt up front. One decent striker and they could easily be a mid table team.

Unless hell freezes over, Gareth Southgate won't be managing England. The Boro fans hate him and want him to go, and on paper there's no way that side should be struggling the way it is.

did Ilford have ear plugs in yesterday?
1st he says he couldnt hear the Boro fans who were possibly the noisest away fans all season & now he he shows he didnt hear the very audible 'your getting sacked in the morning chant' after the goal?

Hope he doesn't get the sack, we want Boro to keep on losing, make absolutely sure they go down, and with the Baggies, that leaves only one place to steer clear of.
