i agree and in truth his general play hasnt been consistant with his goals tally or the reports on him, he's not played badly but the moments of brilliance suggest that there could be more to come.
Lets hope he has a stonker tomorrow!!

"Against Manchester City, I couldn’t believe how loud they were. I was tempted to ask the bench for some ear plugs because they were deafening me." IT was pretty bl00dy loud

i think it`s the fans who`ve been motivated by beattie since his arrival and he`s given us all REAL hope for survival and that has been fed back to him through vocal support. he`s fast becoming a stoke city legend in super fast time.

Have we ever had it so good? We have two match winning strikers something that we have never had in my life as a Stoke fan. Not only that we have and extremely exciting left winger with real pace, all these players care about the club and are hard working pro's. The ground is full every match, the fans love the players and the players love the fans - how can it get any better?

Anybody else got just a touch of 'man-love' for James Beattie, or is it just me??
I wouldn't be surprised if Super James ends up top scoring with 12 goals, and we are well clear of relegation before the Arsenal game.
Already a legend!!

They carried us through. It is quite a compact ground and must be intimidating for away players. That is absolutely brilliant for us. They are our fans and we love playing in front of them.” Love it

Have we ever been cruel to him as a visitor? I think he's making that bit up, but I'm so pleased we've got him. He may indeed be the buy of the season. Hope his ear drums can cope!

I've not been surprised at his ability or his goals(more delighted), but this lads attitude and work rate have been a relavation to me. He works his nuts off where ever he is asked to play and, along with Abdy, looks a true leader out on the field.
