Sacking Gareth wouldn't help them IMHO.

First Blackburn, then Portsmouth, now Boro? Why do we always have to be the ones on the end of new manager bounce?

Have faith. That Gibson chap is a very patient man. He's patient, but he's also a very proud local. If he thinks culling Southgate will keep them up, he will do it.

He wants Boro fans to be like us. This is from the Independent report
Understandably, Southgate thinks Boro fans should be trying to intimidate the opposition, rather than their own players, which is why he wants them to take their lead from Stoke.
"We'll be playing at Stoke in front of a full house and we know their ground has the best atmosphere in the league because they have done tests," he said.

Mmmmmmm........ I think it could end up not being the Ince/Adams effect but more likely the Ramos effect. Our match will be the lynchpin to see if he stays or goes... We beat Boro, then I believe he will go.......... Anyone for a round of "Sacked in the morning" singing on Sat?

difference between blackburn/pompey and boro changing manager is that blackburn + pompey have decent players and boro do not - so no need to worry

Tuncay, Alves, Downing, King...they are players who could cause us damage on Saturday if we're not on top of our game. I think it will be a very difficult game.

Alves a decent player? He's fucking wank! King and Tuncay are decent enough ,nothing to fear and like I say, Downing is nearly as over-rated as Beckham, if he had a right foot there'd be no where near as much hype.
Add to that players like Brad Jones and you have a recipe for diaster.

For one of the few times this season, we will be favourites to win - just like against Derby in the Carling Cup!
A banana skin in the making unless we are at the top of our game, whoever is in charge.

Noooo, not again!! if this f**king happens then I will believe that there is an actual conspiracy against us as you bloody well know if Southgate goes then there is a bloody replacement lined up for him.

If you were Gibson what would you do?
imho his choice is to back Southgate or sack him now & playing us saturday is exactly the time for them to do it.
Venables did a good job there before.
annoying isnt it!

Have a bit of confidence , we are at home and have troubled much better sides than boro, I doubt a new manager will hep them cope that well at the Brit, we just need to get our game right both on and off the pitch and we can get a good result in all our home games

They have got 9 games left, what is the point of sacking him now? The new manager can't bring in new players, it might take take him 2 or 3 games to get them doing what he wants, or it maybe like Harry or Sam. Sooner or later they will lose a few on the bounce. Not enough time in my opinion. Stick with him, if they go down, then get the players in for next season, with the same manager. they would come straight back up.

The difference being that we faced both the Alladyce inspired Blackburn and the Keegan rimming away from home. With our hostile crowd I think that it would be a lot more difficult for a new manager and that if Southgate were to be sacked this week then it would actually work in our favour. We will beat boro saturday and basically nail their coffin.

I doubt they will replace him at this stage of the season and especially not days before a 6 pointer like the weekend. Either way we should still stuff them

For any other club i wouldn't be surprised to see him go, but with the chairman boro have, i can see him staying at least untill the end of the season.
