Im planning on getting myself and my daughter a season ticket next year, hopefully for the family stand. With her only being 2, chances are there will be a couple of games she will miss so im wondering if anyone can answer a couple of questions. Is it possable to upgrade a childs season ticket to and adult ticket for any individual match? Would there be any problem with me attending the match on my own if she doesnt go, or with my dad, which is more likely, on the upgraded ticket? I just seem to remember someone mentioning that you could not sit in the family area if you didnt have a child with you. Thannks in advance folks

I am in Family with my 9 yr old lad
To answer your questions - no you cant upgrade child to adult for any match Yes you can go in there on your own For Bolton, mid week I went with my mate, but had to buy a ticket in Family and then he sat where my son would sit - so I know you cant upgrade

I beg to differ sir. I have 1 adult and 2 kids season tickets in the family and changed one of the kids for another adults for the Chelsea game when my missus came with me. We just had to pay the difference unless its changed since that Chelsea game.

If he,s got no kids after upgrading they won,t allow it. i tried last season and they wouldn,t do it. no kids no family i suppose

Now I am confused - for the Bolton home game I explained I wanted to bring a mate instead of my Kid and lady in box office said I couldnt upgrade season ticket for one match. She didnt ask how many kids I had etc
It says on back no transfers etc and I cant see any info on the site one way or other
I also tried this once for an away game and was told the same???

According to the Ticket Office on Friday..... For one Child to go into the Family Stand, you can have a maximum of two Adults per child. I asked the same question about upgrading the tickets for (in our instance) night matches, and they said no, not next season. Don't know about the adults going in on their own. Hope this helps

I think the minimum requirement for the family stand states you have to have a least 1 u14 to sit in that area. I upgraded 1 of my kids tickets several times last season but when i wanted do both for Leicester game they said no can do.

I was thinking of getting 2 season tickets in the family stand as well. I don`t think my daughter will last the pace, and was under the impression you can`t get in without kid(s)

Just found the terms and conditions on the main club page. It says that entry to the ground is only allowed if the u14/ u11 is in attendance and that if not tickets must be exchanged at least 2 hours befor kick off.
So what happens when i turn up 2 and a half hours before kick off and the game is a sell out??????? Any ideas????

If the game is a sell out then you stay where you are
For night matches you do not need to be accompanied by a child to enter the Family stand
On an afternoon kick-off, you must be accompanied by a child to enter the Family Stand - ratio 2 adults to 1 child
You can upgrade a child seat to an adult seat, there is a small £2 levy for the exchange of the ticket (which seems to be applied at random, although should be applied for any swap) plus the difference between a child and paying adult full price ticket (not season ticket price)
If you do not have a child accompanying you to the game then you should not be allowed access to the family stand and need to swap (for an afternoon game) your ticket for another area of the ground, there is a small £2 levy per ticket for administration costs. If there is no tickets elsewhere then this is the clubs problem and you can stay where you are
