Do you really think that our tap/tap/hoof upfield for Sidibe is the most effective way to start the game from our own kick off ? Surely we could have a bit of variety.

If you watch a lot of teams they all do this as it immediately puts the opposition under pressure, i think this is the least of our problems.

We've done this for at least as long as we've been playing at the Brit, and it's paid off about twice

Why not play the ball backwards and across to give the forwards/wide men time to get forward

Yeah, just welly it at the goal straight from kickoff. It used to work on FIFA... Chelsea tried it against us in the 1972 League Cup final. It got our players annoyed that they were taking such liberties and we scored almost immediately afterwards. It is the only time I have seen someone try this in the many, many games I have watched.

shooting from the off would probably shock a couple of keepers.

They tap tap hoof. Then 9 of them run back and stand on the edge of their own 18 yard box until half time.

This would explain why we have let in 34 goals away this season.

when we go a goal down at home we get ablout 4 of our players and they all go right at the defence this seems to work as we get corners or a god chance at goal it also excites me stoke going in such an attacking manner

I Think by doing this it gives the opposition the time and possession which will give their team more confidence at keeping the ball, whereas in 8/10 times we will win the ball. I think we should keep the ball at the start even if it is only few passes, as long as some more of the stoke players get a feel of the ball before we start to defend.
