Morning Eddy's mum ;D Everybody has there own opinion and see things quite differently from one another. I really like Simmo but my heart sinks on the occasions he's been subbed on, even when he's done well. A keeper needs to inject confidence and discipline in his defence which despite a couple of blunders of late, I think Soro commands incredibly well. Just my opinion, mind

I think we are very fortunate in that we have 2 really good Keepers at stoke like both Simmo and Sorenson .....both played vital roles in the clubs success !! Eddys mum

Remember back to Bolton, look at how many world class saves he made.
He had a bad game v Everton
And he only conceded one against Villa, which he was injured for

Every keeper is prone to a bad game and tbh we all knew that Everton away wasnt going to be a stroll in the park. Sorro is a fantastic keeper and I have 100% faith in him, the guy up to know has been one of the signings of the season.

Sorro's basic flaw is that due perhaps to his size & age (?) he struggles with shots low down close to him. e.g Evertons 1st,Spurs 1st,Sunderlands 1st.
when he has to stretch full length he does well & of course he bosses the area very well.
I think beacuse Simmo had been No 1 for so long we had begun to yearn for a more commanding keeper (thats not to say he's a flapper beacuse he isnt - see Muggleton C) so when we got one in Sorro we as fans apprear to have overlooked his slower reactions.
Really dont know if Sorro should be dropped & as others have said why the hell didnt we sign Nash who is better than both of them?
Ideally imho in the summer we sell Simmo & sign a top keeper (no idea who mind, sorry) with Sorrenson as back up.

it's obvious isn't it? one bad game = sell him, sack him, hang him! for God's sake if we don't do that straight away then people will think we're a normal football side with a normal human being playing for us who every now and again makes mistakes like Van der Saar, Buffon, James etc. do every now and again! We'd never have let those 2 in if we'd been lucky enough to get Scott Carson would we???
Even my mate (Everton fan, sorry) described Sorro as "one of the best Prem keepers in the last few years" so FFS get a grip lads!

Sorro certainly seems to be costing us more points than he is gaining at the moment. Its not just his very dodgy shot-stopping, but he seems to have started flapping at crosses. Simmo was solid against the Villa when he came on - and despite the fact that I think Sorro is the better keeper, his form stinks - time for a change.
Similar situation to Salif - we know what a good player he is, he just isn't showing it at the moment.
