The performance of Simonsen at Barnsley last season was very similar to today's of Sorensen at Everton.
On the back of that performance, Simonsen was dropped in favour of Russell Hoult at Plymouth.
Could we see the return of Simonsen Vs Middlesbrough?

This is not a thread that is campaigning for Simmo to be re-instated, it is just to point out that TP has punished errors by goalkeepers in the past.

Unlikely mate, simmo made a few error prior to them clangers at Barnsley. And tbf to sorro, he's been outstanding all season and think he deserves our support and encouragement.
This aint the time to go experimenting the team as we need to now find a solid XI week in and week out to maintain some kind of form. As much as i rate simmo, sorro has proved to be a better standard and has definately earnt his place in the team. Just really hopes he doesnt let today bring is confidence down and affect his next few performances!

Tommy had a terrible game today, hopefully it will prove to be a one off, if not, and he puts in another performance like that, he has to be dropped

Simmo does actually use his gob which surprised me, I heard it at the Chelsea reserve game. But still Sorro all the way!

went to both games Simo was pants at barnsley in, all honesty soro didnt av a gud game 2day. I did think soro caught a lot and commanded the area pretty well, simmo at barnsley did niether. Dont know if its just me but simo seems a bit arrogant 2.
thats just wat i think anyway

imo sorro is nothing more than average, and now that the pressure is really on i think we may see a couple more performances like today, weather this is the right time to drop him though i'm not sure.

I don't think he instilled much confidence in the defenders today. As I said in earlier post, hopefully today is a one off, but if not, then he will have to be dropped, we can't afford mistakes like that at this stage of the season
