Today was a classic masterclass in why it is a shit idea to keep your best players on the bench, with the (naive and ridiculous) idea that we can just waltz them on at any point to change the game around when we feel like it.

With Salif clearly struggling to play 60 minutes it compounds the daftness of playing a clearly unfit and ineffective Mama

Fuller didn't start because he's only fit enough to play 40-45 minutes, because of his shoulder injury.

We hammered them after they came on! I'd class that as the plan working.

If our best players were on the bench then why did we turn the game around with the original 11 and why did our efforts fizzle out once Ethers came on?

If our best players were on the bench then why did we turn the game around with the original 11 and why did our efforts fizzle out once Ethers came on? By 'turning the game around', do you mean scoring, out of the blue, with a free header from a corner while the original XI happened to be on? We did fizzle out in the last 10 minutes. No doubt you'll blame it on an (out-of-position) Camara coming on?

Here's a quote from a Canadian:
'So I didn't catch the second half and consequently don't know what the play in the second half was like, but I just watched Stoke take the biggest beating in a half of soccer I think I've ever seen from two teams playing in the same division. I'm not talking score I'm just talking controlling every aspect of the game to the point of becoming demoralizing. 2-0 and 62/38 possession!!! Stoke wasn't even in the game, lucky to get one shot on Everton. I don't particularly follow any one team (my buddy is a huge liverpool fan and I've liked the name Arsenal forever so I generally watch those games if they're on) but I do enjoy a good soccer game on TV. This was not a good soccer game.'

Camara was not out of position. He plays RW/ST

My understanding was that he playS RW very much as a secondary position, once in a blue moon, and primarily with Senegal a while ago?
Regardless, surely impossible to judge him in 10 minutes - just as it is in half a game at S'land and in one reserve game at WBA.

Camara was not out of position, he just looks out of position wherever he plays. Trust me on this one - he is Pericard#2

Has he shot your pet rabbit or something, march? Rarely have I seen such a rush to judgement. I wasn't exactly doing cartwheels when he signed but his CV says that as a cut-price Fuller sub, he should be okay. And it'll take more than less than 1 total game of 1st team football before I rush to proclaim as the Second Coming of Mr Pericard.
